Title: Scorchin Inferno vs Fury
Post by: 9inthepit on March 31, 2011, 10:47:52 PM
I used to throw a Scorchin and loved it until it cracked recently. I've been looking for a used one, but I've been told the Fury is a better ball. Is there a big difference between the 2?

I had a Scorchin' and a Fury drilled with the same layout (pin 4 3/4" from PAP, XH 2" down the val), and with both balls in box finish, the Fury was earlier and smoother. On a fresher blend, the Scorchin' was about two-and-one stronger; with more friction, the difference in overall hook was larger.
If you're looking for something newer to replace the Scorchin', I'd give the Revolver a look.
