Scorchin X-blem $49 @ Bowling Ball. Com
« on: November 16, 2006, 04:42:55 AM »
I just received an e-mail for some specials @ Bowling Ball. Com. They have 15 pound x-out Scorchins for $69 minus $10 newsletter discount plus $10 Google checkout discount. Final price = $49.99 shipped.

I figured at this price it was worth taking a chance.

Just received my Scorching.  As you can tell by the pics, the color looks very washed out.  As if the ball was bleached or left out in the sun.  15lbs, 2.7 top, 3-4 pin.  Can't wait to have it punched this weekend.

I honestly have no idea.

Perhaps like my StrikeZone being that it's not polished.

I seriously need to learn more about mapping my own equipment.  I'm thinking pin under finger so get the ball rolling earlier.

I would be careful with a stacked drilling with pin in palm. I heard that these balls have pretty good traction. You wouldn't want it to roll out too early. Do a little research before punching it.

My pro shop guy has been great in giving me good advice regarding my equipment.

I'll probably have it punched tomorrow after lunch.  More pics and possibly a Ghetto Video to come.

Mine just arrived.  Perfect specs (15lb 3oz, 3oz top, 2.5 pin).  The red is a little less dark than in my non-blem so maybe that is the reason it is a blem.  What a price for a great ball!

Just received mine, 15lbs 15oz 1.6oz top weight 1-2" pin. The color isn't bad at all, just a tad lighter than it should be. I am sure that when it soaks up some oil it will look normal.

I bought 4 of the $30 certificates around midnight last night.  It's 4:20pm now, shouldn't I have received something with a 'code' on it?  I got the initial notice that my order (g/c's) has been 'shipped', but that's it.

Well, over the phone it was.  But I still haven't got the code emailed to me, been over 2 hrs. since I talked to them.  Had the order page all queued up and ready to order.  Argh!

Just got my Scorchin' blem. I kind of like the way it looks. Specs are 15lbs. 4 oz, 2-3 inch pin and 3.2 oz top weight. Not bad spec's since I didn't even request anything specific.  And yes, I also have a small "S" in the bottom of the Brunswick B. Here's some pics.
