fuze eliminator
« on: July 21, 2004, 08:11:52 AM »
I have heard many good things about this ball and I'm looking at picking one up from someone on this board.  I haven't seen this ball much so I'm wondering what kind of reaction to look for.  How does it compare to lets say either the Raging Inferno or the Warp Zone.  For those who have it, how do you like it?  Any info would be great.  Thanks

I have some Warps, a Raging, and a Fuze Eliminator. The Fuze is a SMOOTH ball, capable of doing just about anything. If you've got some hand, it can travel the whole lane. The light particle load keeps it even and predictable. The one I'm currently using is drilled tame (pin under ring CG stacked below). That's around a 5.5 x 5 for me. Very mellow, smooth control, good hit. There are no surprises with the Fuze. It will handle less oil than the Warp Zone given that the Warp is a "medium load" particle vs. the Fuze "light load" cover. Both are powerkoil 18 shells. Both balls will work dull, shined up, or in between. The Raging is a totally different animal. For me, it doesn't move much. On oil the pearlized shell is too straight, but on medium conditions the particles drain engery too early. HOWEVER, I know EXACTLY where it's going at all times, and as long as I don't try to cover too many boards with it, it reacts well and carries good. I thinks the Raging is a better ball for those with lots of hand.
In my opinion the Fuze would be the most useful, covering the entire medium range and even into the heavier shots if the ball is dull. The Warp Zone is too strong for any volume less than medium heavy - maybe medium IF you shine it up good and have upper range ball speed.

Forgot to add - All three are excellent balls for 'sport type' conditons if drilled appropriately. I've used these three balls successfully on 'sport type' conditions:

I have just purchased this ball and right now unless I have heavy oil down I cant use it. I have to leave it in the bag because its so strong in my hand. I have my fuze drilled with the pin below my ring finger with the cg kicked out. I am a medium to high rev player and it reallllllllllllllllllllllly hooks in my hand. I purchased this ball when I saw a older fellow throwing it. It really hit the pocket hard for him but he couldnt get it to cover alot of boards. But I am telling you best believe this ball will hoooooooooook. I played it down ten in a league shot and it went straight up ten and took off to the 7 pen. I was amazed, I just grabbed it off the ball rack and threw it back in the bag. I cant wait to use it in a tournament.

In reference to the inferno and the warzone, those are both good balls but if you are looking for a ball that has all the characteristics those do and for a cheaper price then I would go with the fuze eliminator, just make sure you put a good drill on it. I have wanted a inferno for sometime but since I have picked up the fuze, I dont have a need for an inferno now.
