I know they haven't been out long, and usually entry level stuff gets ignored, just wanted to see if anybody had anything.

Going to be getting a lime/lavender soon and wanted a peek at performance, if possible.

They seem to be going between $119 and $129 drilled on average.

Much more length than any of the mentioned choices with a tame backend move. This is truly a great dry lane ball. For more oil there are better (more forgiving) choices.

well I rolled them this evening on some spotty synthetics, pretty tame reaction, easy to play off the corner. I'd suggest if you drill them similar to mine to roll the ball slow, go with 1000 or 2000 surface, maybe a stronger drilling.  They hit fairly well.  Need to roll them at a better center to give the final verdict but at this time I prefer the Avalanches I had, solid, pearl and slide over these Slingshots.

I would imagine the two balls roll pretty much the same.  Do they?

Why did you put such a similar drill on both of them???

I'm going to go with two different surfaces eventually, one will be 4000 and the other will be 1000.

How does the Slingshot compare to the Power Groove? Longer? Better back end?

By the numbers a Slingshot is a touch longer than a PG but smoother than the PG.

The one we bought for my son does go longer and has a stronger backend. He likes it better than his power groove. He has improved his high game twice and has improved his high series the last 3 weeks in a row with it.He wants another drilled weaker now. Great ball for him.
