Demolition Zone
« on: October 26, 2006, 12:44:42 AM »

Hi B-Nation..

I need some help finding a ball for a friend of mine.. He's looking for something to replace his Demolition Zone.. Or does someone have a 15 lbs for sale? He's just gone down from 16 lbs..

Got any ideas?

Thought about a Wizard.. Numbers almost match.. And cover is also PK18..

Funny, the current Rampage has the exact same Brunswick numbers as the Demolition Zone:

Length: 105
Hook: 105
Breakpoint shape: 75

Rampage: http://www.brunswickbowling.com/bvp_rampage
Demolition Zone: http://www.brunswickbowling.com/uploads/images/1206/Demolition_Zone_Info_Sheet_solid_logo-revised.pdf

The core specs are also very close. Sounds like a reasonable match to me.

I don't trust the hook/length numbers. I look at core stats (med RG med diff), coverstock (solid PK 18), and surface prep (compound). That points to a Monster Bruiser or a Wizard/Nemesis polished to taste, not a (pearl) Rampage

Both are polished, actually all three are polished. It's been said that there's very little difference between PK 18 pearl and solid, when both are shined. In any case, there are options if he doesn't locate another Demolition Zone. The Bruiser is discontinued; so his choice of ball specs are limited.

I like the Bruiser's core; it's similar in overall shape to the Demo ZOne; the Rampage's is a more flippy shaped core.

Thanks for all the replies guys..

Lillen..: Thanks, but that link isn't current.. I checked last week.. The ball isn't in their "new" online shop..

I think we're gonna go with the Wizard.. He also had the Nemesis at 16 lbs and liked it very much..

Rampage imo is too flippy to compare the two..

I think a Bruiser could do well too.. But is pretty much impossible to come by here as a NIB.. Especially in 15 lbs..

But thanks again..!

Peace
