Whats your point?
they're both exactly the same, original or remake.

I was unaware that there was a remake.

Sorry about that, I thought you were implying that it had to be an original box release.

Wellll, not exactly the same but close. Seems they can't exactly duplicate the formula with todays casting processes, but it's close enough that you really can't tell the difference.

That may be true for the Purple remake, but it wasn't true for the Teal, at least from the perspective of a friend of mine.  He drilled a NIB original Teal and a NIB remake at the same time.  The specs for the two were close enough for government work, and he put the identical box finish on each.  For him, the remake was consistently three to five boards stronger, across a number of different centers.

I didn't get the chance to watch him throw both Teals anywhere other than at the center here in town, but when I did watch him, I saw that the remake was noticeably sharper at the break and stronger overall.

That's a tricky one.  The bowler in question has very slow ball speed, and tends to jack up on the shot a lot, and thus he hasn't been able to use many of the stronger recent releases.  At the time, he had the two Teals (three, actually, as he had another original that he had purchased used), a Red/Black Monster, a urethane Nail, and a Carbide that he could pretty much only throw when there was 60 feet of flat oil.  The Red/Black more or less fit between the two Teals in terms of overall strength, but the Teals were both smoother at the break.

Hope this helps.

A buddy of mine loves this ball.  He won a ton of money at the Roller when it first came out and continued to use it for years, even when the core separated from the shell.  He didn't have one until a year ago when he came accross one on ebay.  He drilled it and loved it.

Then late last year the remake came out and we drilled one for him.  He threw it and the only difference he found was that it hit harder.  I told him that it may have been from the newer shell versus one that was about 10-years old.  The way it came off the oil and the shape of its path to the pocket was basically the same.  He now carries both of them to all his tournaments.

He then bought four more to hold and we've sold about 30+ to others.

So did Brunswick reissue a remake of the Purple? I know they did a remake of the Teal... I should have got one of them when I had the chance.

Yeah, they did.  One of them showed up on eBay not long ago, but the reserve on it was outrageous.
