Title: Spare Ball
Post by: ADMotiv724 on June 07, 2020, 07:47:49 AM
I am looking for a new spare ball. Deciding between a simple plastic like the Radical Spare or Hammer Tough Spare

A good spare ball will likely be made of plastic/polyester and have a durable cover stock built to last. Any bowling ball cover stock which has a porous surface is going to be counterproductive to what you need.

Yea any plastic covered ball will work. You could also get like a Pyramid Pathogen Blue dot, has an actual core inside so you can use on bone dry conditions as a strikeball

I purchased the Hammer Tough spare ball, I recommend it; Its a unique, yet special ball for me , with the polyester cover,  and pancake core. It's a 2-way ball  (A Spare ball, that also works for short patterns that are lighter, even some medium patterns as well).

I recommend!!

Almost every manufacturer produces a good spare ball. They're basically all the same polyester with a pancake block.  If you bowl on dry conditions, here's a tip.  Buy some Vice "Slip Agent".  Almost guaranteed your ball will never hook when shooting a spare.  it'll go where you point it.  Just get the ball that looks good to you.
