If you haven't heard, Missy became only the 3rd woman ever to win a PBA Regional. Now she's starring in her own video, one in which she is made over into a striking starlet. Check out the opportunity to sponsor the video shoot.

Hi Jonny:  You asked an honest question so here's my answer.  Maybe I'm getting old or my feminist roots are showing, but here is why I don't get it:

1)  I think Missy looks great and doesn't need a makeover.
2)  I understand the need for sponsorship and would jump right in if this were a straightforward sponsorship, but.....
3)  and here's what I really don't get (but I'm not in the San Fernando Valley)...based on the photos, this looks like some attempt to merge soft porn and bowling, and Missy got caught in some sort of weird altered-universe cross-fire?

Whats the matter with the way she looks now? If she wants to get "dolled" up like some hooker it shouldn't be with someone else's coin.

There is no doubt that in the "bowling world", Missy looks great. Society, however,  sadly would consider her a "plain jane". We are attempting to bridge the gap between the "bowling world" and society in general, showing the world that bowlers are not fat, beer drinking, out-of-shape slobs. The pictures were taken during another video shoot that Missy took part in. Through a lucky contact, Missy was invited to go bowling with the Playboy Girls of Golf at a local bowling center. We feel like this video helps bridge the gap between the recreational bowling crowd (society) and the competitive bowling crowd.

She doesn't appear to be a fat, out-of-shape, beer drinking slob. Exactly what demographic are you trying to reach? Perverts and Johns? I'm confused. No offense, but most everyday women, when paired next to Playboy models will look like "plain Janes". However, I must say deft marketing strategy.

It appears to be a joint marketing venture.  She's trying to promote herself, in the hopes of getting herself exposure so she can get new and bigger sponsors to pursue her professional bowling career and at the same time promote a new bowling site, Youbowl.com (if you read through the pdf link in the Ebay listing it goes into greater detail)

You're not paying for her to be "dolled up like some hooker" you're paying for the costs associated with shooting, editing and distributing a video.  

Last I checked, the makeover shows had a huge audience, several times larger than the bowling audience.

Thats like saying everytime someone wins a tournment we ought to reach in our pockets because they work a regular job. She chose to bowl as do we all and I'm sorry if it offends you but I think its wrong to even ask someone to pay for this

Since the makeover shows have a huge following there should be no problem ponying up the funds for the "video". I think her bowling skills should be enough in and of itself, unfortunately thats not the society we live in. Take the same girl, get her in a busty top, pants so tight they look as if they were painted on, and some make-up. Her career takes flight? Its not right or wrong per say, it just is. As I stated before, very clever marketing.
