I had my driller order one of these for me for the dry and broken down shot we have had lately.  Here is what we saw when the ball came in.  The Pin was in the correct location to the right of the B logo.  On all of the other Brunswick balls the CG is pretty much below the B logo at a distance that depends on the pin lenght.  Well neither of us could find the CG mark on the ball so began trying to find the CG using a scale.  No luck.  As we get on the phone with the distributor I am cleaning off the grease pencil marks and low and behold I find the CG.  It was 3.5" above the Pin not below but above.  We weigh the ball out and it is not mismarked.  Needless to say he is sending it back and getting a replacement.  I was just wondering if we went ahead and drilled it up with Pin above and CG in the palm, in other words. upside down. do you think it would have rolled the same as if the CG is in line with where it is supposed to be?

If that truly was the cg, the ball was just mis-labeled, meaning the pin-cg relation was alright and just the logos had incorrect placement.

  It would have LOOKED strange, but probably would have been alright.

six pack, what kind of information are you basing your post by ?  how many "bad" balls have you bought from brunswick ? or have you "heard" this is how "they all are" ? i've purchased over a dozen balls from brunswick since they moved production to mexico and every one of them has the same quality as the ones that were made in michigan.

pin was south of the cg-south of the border,get it?
could'nt you just turn the ball around?
BTW I think my Twisted Furry is one of the best balls I've owned,performance wise and good looking too.I do wish they would come back to the U.S.though.

One of the pro shops in town has an Ultra Zone with two MB markings...one with a white riser pin and the other a black riser pin. (MB marking is what I'm refering to)

MB1 (white)---63/4"-pin-63/4"---MB2 (black)

Hopefully BR members can comprehend my crude depiction of the ball. The cg was between the pin and the black MB marker.

It has yet to be drilled...and it sits on the shelf waiting to be shipped back. I however wanted to drill it.

My Smash Zone also has its engravings in a bit starnge position, relative to pin and CG. The Smash logo almost is on my PAP, and the B ended up after drilling it pin under the ring finger and CG stacked quite close to the middle finger, so that the ball trcaks across the logo. Not sure if it is a mislabeling, looks a bit weird, but does not impair the ball's funcionality. But it fits the picture that Brunswick's quality standards are not as high as they used to be...

As a follow up the Brunswick ball rep for our region stopped by the shop yesterday by chance and my driller showed him the ball and he mentioned that it appears that when the ball was spun during production to engrave the logos it somehow got reversed.  He said it would drill up ok but my driller said he was still not comfortable and if I did have any problems he would not be able to go back to them after it is drilled so my replacement will be here Friday.
