I know there is just about no color scheme/combo that hasn't been tried before, but has anybody seen the new Storm Super Natural? Just sayin'...
Sorry I can't link to it or upload a pic. BR is not very smartphone friendly for me.

Doug,
While the Ringer may have come to the public's attention first, both balls were approved by the USBC in Jan. 2013. So they were probably developed, independently, at the same time. So you could say just the reverse, that Brunswick ripped off the SuperNatural. In any case, I doubt if either company spied on the color choices of the other. Their relatively similar color schemes are probably just a coincidence.

Ringer is listed a burgundy pearl and Super Natural is red pearl. Looking at pics of both the Ringer does look like a little darker color than the Super Natural. Overall, the colors of both look appealing.

It might have to do with the supplier of the resins. Or with what is perceived as current consumer preference. Remember all the purple balls that came out around the same time a couple of years ago. It seems every manufacturer was using a lot of purple at the time.

Rip off as to how? The balls are nothing alike except for the color! The Super Natural is a Hybrid Urethane and the cores nothing alike! So if a company makes a red ball it has a trademark color? lol Come on can we come up with something a little better? Not like they tried to use the same name, core, color, etc..... Just saying!!!

Thanks Charlest. Seeing the USBC approval date, I retract my comments!
As for some of the other comments, you will note I only mentioned the color scheme and the graphics, not core, coverstock, or intended purpose.

And, seeing the title of this thread, you said "Storm rips off the Ringer". You don't say they made a completely different ball with a similar color, you intimate that they have somehow "stolen" (ripped off) something.
That's like saying Chevrolet "ripped off" Ford because they both make red cars.

Isn't the round bowling ball patented by someone???

Probably some old Egyptian that looked like Steve Martin on SNL?
-
isn't that the reason why Storm started scenting their balls? I heard at one time, that was how they got around patents.

I would like to be there for that meeting...
"I have a good way around EVERYTHING! Smelly balls!"
*rimshot*

Lol at this thread, every color combo has been made already. ..welp the raptor talon is clearly ripping off the freight train, the champion is the exact same color scheme as the defiant edge
I dont give a hoot what color it is as long as it strikes...and I strike the most when there are bolts on em!

What's funny is OP never mentioned Storm "ripping off" Brunswick with the Gold IQ.
billdozer, and the Freight Train is clearly ripping off the AMF King Cobra and the King Cobra is clearly ripping off the Brunswick Smoker. :D

I would love to see Roy Munson replace his Gold Rhino with an IQ Pearl.
