Success with the Slingshot
« on: March 29, 2010, 05:42:49 PM »
Tonight in league I shot 216, 258, and 300 for a 774! And I did it all with Brunswick's newest release the red and silver Slingshot! Because of how much I have liked my Power Grooves I couldn't wait to get my hands on a Slingshot. Well I finally drilled one up this past weekend, I decided to use one of my favorite layouts which is none other than the Rico lay out and all I can say is that I am in love with this ball. It's super clean through the fronts and has a stronger move on the back than I had anticipated but it's much more predictable than my Power Groove with the same layout. And it looks GREAT going down the lane. All in all I couldn't be happier with the ball.

Good point.  urethane is probalby the answer for what I have in mind.  thanks.

If you're looking to get a urethane, hold off a couple months if you can, you'll see the one you want.

Wow, great bowling Jcom! I can't wait to get mine. But, sadly ,my guy will be out of the country for a couple weeks and I have to wait. If it's half as good as my PG it will be worth it.

So far I'm impressed, too. Play the friction. Just when you expect it to dive through the nose... it holds the line and hits. What a nice weapon!

He said Rico.

Missed that..

For some reason, the rico layout seems to check up too early for me. I've it on a couple of balls and they both do the same thing..

I see the same with friction, when you think you will catch over reaction the ball lays off and still stores enough energy to get the corner out.

425 rev rate
18 mph down lane (Qubica)
13' tilt
10-70' rotation
PAP 5 5/8 x 5/8 up
