Suggestions from you Brunswick guys
« on: November 03, 2019, 01:49:15 PM »
Just punched out a hero, and it took me back to my old days of Vapor Zones, Riot Zones, Deep Violets and others.  I am looking at moving from the Phase 2, and IQ Tour plus the 900 After Dark solid.  What does Brunswick have these days that I would like on tournament patterns for my lower rev stroker style.   Prism solid or Hybrid look like something I might like for the Phase 2, which has just gotten too condition specific for me.

Hero gives me what I call that old Brunswick roll.  Looking for more stuff with that look.

For the After Dark, Radical (also under Brunswick family) Counter Attacks are your best bet.  In addition to Radical, DV8's marketing is cringe worthy but they actually have some decent stuff especially asym balls as well so don't over look them.

The ball that I can't seem to put down that compliments the Hero well has been the Phantom.  I can play the same area but get a more smooth and even read of what's there. The low RG and low differential core should help replace the IQ Tour, which is a great ball.
I have tweaked the surface up and down with predictable results.
I like the prism hybrid but it's a little stronger off the spot for me than the Hero. Similar length, but stronger late.  Hope this helps.

P.S.  I'd know more about the Prism Solid, but frankly cannot put the Phantom down.

If you're going with 3 other in addition to the Hero...

Phantom would be the option replacing the IQ Tour

Phaze 2 you're looking at the Verge if you want to stay smoother. If you want a little more torque then you have the Prism Solid, Instigator, or Conspiracy Hybrid/Theory

As mentioned above, Counter Attacks match pretty well to the After Darks
