Has anyone had any luck with surface changes on their f(p+s)? Mine is drilled pin up and rolls pretty well but I really have to keep the ball speed down to keep it from skidding past the breakpoint. It's fine after the lanes have opened up but until then I can't use it much. I have left it box finish. Our lanes have more oil than usual and there isn't a ton of backend. I think they are trying to keep the scores down.

This cover takes surface changes well. I have added surface to one of mine. At one time it was down to 1000 and could still clear the fronts well, but slowed down about 4ft sooner which did smooth out the backend but did hook more.

I have taken off the factory polish and keep it at 4000 to smooth out the reaction. At the box finish, it was way too much of a skid snap reaction for my game. I have about a 400 mph rev rate with a 16.5 mph ball speed. With the 4000 surface, it allows me to keep my angles closed.

I think I'll give it a try at 4000 until they start using a little less oil.
