Advise on additional ball...
« on: May 23, 2009, 10:47:57 AM »
Going to try here for this is the place I have found much of the information that has taken me to where I am at.  Balls I currently own AND use:  Ultra, Twisted Fury and most recently a Ultimate Inferno. Have only used the UI for about a month and am throughly impressed with the reaction the ball provides.  The ultra and the fury don't compare to the tail end reaction that the UI is giving me.  Granted, those 2 balls probably need some serious "cleaning" that would bring them back to OOB, but really don't compare to the performance of the UI.  I am pretty much a stroker with a 15-17 ball speed.

Points of emphasis:
Plan on getting another UI this summer simply because its such a good ball.
Would like to add another ball and this is why I am asking for recommendations...balls I am looking at...Maxxx, Lane1(Dynamo), or possibly wait and get a Siege.  What I am expecting out of this additional ball...back end reaction in oil.  I pretty much throw straight up utilizing the 5 to 7 board.  Wanting something that is AS strong or stronger on the back end.

Really like the coverstock on the UI...seems to hold up better AND longer than that of the twisted fury and ultra.

thanks for any suggestions....

You can not go wrong with the UI. I still have, and still use my UI and mine was made back when it was made in the USA. Its been resurfaced a couple of times but still works as good as the day I bought it.

Siege, for sure. It will backend more than the Ultimate and the Maxxx Zone, easily. If you need more of a skid/flip type look, you should look to the Wild Thing and put a little surface on it to make it read oil as much as you need.
