tell me what you know
« on: June 02, 2005, 07:12:53 PM »
im in the mist of shopping for a heavy oil ball or rather something stronger than my slash now track has a new particle pearl out and as far as particle pearls go i think storm does darn well with them. my q is this out of the ult infer, the rag infer, and the goliath, which is going to provide the best performance, and have the capabilities to matain.

looking for words from the buns drillers and the top heads, not you run of the mill bruns buyers who buy on impulse and then discard the ball once the newest installment comes out. thanks

I'd consider the Goliath being the ball for HEAVY, HEAVY oil. It is high load solid particle and will start hooking at your feet in box condition. A ball for rather special occasions, I think?

Many people I know around here swear on the UI with the solid reactive coverstock on oily conditions - although it needs some maintenance to keep up its finish and performance. The RI is not a bad ball either, and with its glossy box finish a ball with very good length (for a Brunswick particle ball).
If you need grip on the backend, go for the RI. If you want a strong rolling ball for earlier reactions, go for the UI.

Additionally, if you can wait, the new Strike Zone should provide you with a kind of UI with additional drilling options due to the asymmetric ZC core.
