From 30 plus years ago? If that ball came out in 82' I was 9 chasing ice cream trucks in my banana seat bike hehehe.. that's cool you have those balls..

I got a Grizz off of ebay recently.
It was drilled once and the drilling was very close to my own so after it was plugged and redrilled it looks perfect.
I did not try to refinish it, I just tried it as is on a heavy house shot.
Would not grip! Sliding the whole way.
So I took it down to 180 grit abralon hand wet swirl sand.
Tried it again and OMG...too, too, too strong and early! Lol.
Couldn't even get it up the lane. Ha, ha.
So I contacted Brunswick and they said stock finish is 320 wet sand.
So I had the pro shop hit it on 4 sides with 320 wet sand.
Will try it again and post back to see how it does.
It's an experiment in progress...

Ok, so I am using the Grizz at 320/500 and that seems pretty good for well defined house shots.
If I get it right of second arrow too soon it will hook and start rolling withing the first 25 feet of the lane.
If I keep it in the oil it will go longer.
I have the ball drilled with CG in grip center and the ball is perfectly statically balanced.

I put a PAP marker on the ball so you can see how stable it is going down the lane:
