Pick one ball
« on: February 03, 2007, 07:05:53 AM »
I don't need another ball-but I have been working lots of overtime plowing snow-so

If you could choose only one ball to put in arsenal what would it be and why?

I have:

Strike Zone
Absolute Inferno
Original Inferno
Radical Inferno
Punisher
Target Zone

You can see my profile for ball specs.

Thanks for any replies,

Marker

I have really been looking for a ball I could play a little more inside with like I do with my Strike Zone, but on lanes that have gone away. I wouldn't mind something that had some backend.

Black Widow might be a good choice. Another option would be the Angular One drilled to skid and flip.

The Original Inferno because I've never seen another ball that carries so well in many bowlers' hands on varied conditions.

The Red Zone fills that spot in the arsenal for me.  Cleaner in front than a polished Strike Zone, and *much* sharper at the break.

I'm with BC on this one. If I was to buy a Big-B again, it would be the Red Zone..

May I suggest waiting a couple weeks and getting the Fury?  If not, the Vapor and Red Zones would add a nice touch.

Your arsenal already has 4 pearlized reactives with only one solid.  That's why the Fury will give you something new because of the stronger cover and different core design.

Not really sure about the FURY. Went to a Pro-Am and saw a Pro throwing it and he could nto get it to hit the pocket for 3 games. I tired to get it off him, but he said he wanted to toss it on fresh oil to see how it did there. Maybe he was trying to get it to do something that is just could not do. But I know that he was not liking the ball at all when he bowled on our lanes.

T.J.

BOWLING IS FUN NO MATTER WHAT YOU SCORE. BUT A 300 IS ALWAYS NICE.

STRIKE ZONE, ONSLAUGHT & PYRO. STAND 22 AND THROW 10 OUT TO 5 AND CRUSH THE POCKET. AT LEAST THAT IS THE PLAN OF THE NIGHT...

GOOD LUCK AND GOOD BOWLING!!!

A lot of nods for the Red Zone.  I am pretty loyal to Brunswick so I will probably keep it in the family, even though some suggested some good non B balls.  The Strike Zone is really the strongest ball I need.  So maybe a little longer solid reactive like the Red Zone would do the trick.  I do like the assymetric ball and how it keeps moving to the pocket.
