What's going to be new at Bowl Expo?
« on: June 08, 2012, 10:49:49 AM »
What does everybody expect/think is coming from the Big B at Bowl Expo? What is your expectations, or what would you like to see? I would mind seeing the Versa-Max core on a coverstock similar to the Ulti-Max cover! I'd like something pearl with a higher diff and lower rg in a symmetrical core for a Loaded Revolver replacement! I curious to see what is going to replace the Revolver line, or if they are going to expand the Versa-Max line for it's replacement! Still waiting on my Slingshot with a different coverstock and if they'll replace the Avalanche urethane with another urethane ball! I use my two Versa-Max' the most, a pin up and pin down for most house and modified house shots!

Ya we were having a little bit of fun.  If you are friends with Brunswick on Facebook the posted pics of Billy and the gang tapping the videos for the new balls. If you look very closely You can see Chris throw the C System Maxxed Out. Also Brunswick said we would be happy about a Urethane addition. The Karma Urethane is on the list. The last one is the Nexxus f(p+s).  Cant wait for the videos and release dates.  PS Dont forget the DV8 releases also.

Yeah. I hope the urethane is affordable, though, and not like Hammer where they want a million bucks even for their spare balls.

I would guess that the Urethane Karma would be at the affordable price point of the other Karmas

I guess it is relative to where you buy your equipment. Online the Hammer urethane is $85 shipped. The Karma price range is in the ball park of $85 shipped online as well. The hammer Taboo spare ball is currently $85 shipped online. Your paying for the high performance core in a spare ball.

With a plastic stock. They wanted to make more money, so they put a core inside the spare ball that should not even be there, and sold it for more. They could have just had a plastic cover with a pancake block or (or bullet for Brunswick) like everyone else.

Not sure they really make that much more off it. It does fill a spot for those who really want a plastic ball with a high end core. You know cause of all those revs and there not being enough oil on the lanes problem. Other companies have done it, and Im sure other companies will make one as well at some point.

I'm gonna go crazy if Brunswick does that. Hopefully not. I guess it's better for beginning bowlers who are starting to throw sort of a hook, but aren't quite ready for Entry Level stuff. I still would want my spare ball to go dead straight, though and not run away from the pin down lane.

Its likely a small market of people who really want a spare ball with that kind of core. Since the majority use the ball strictly for spares anyway.

Im very excited about the Karma Urethane.

Just a thought.. you don't have to drill one? I'm sure they're keeping the tzones with the pancake

I'm not drilling one. I'm just saying that I don't know why Hammer would put a high performance core in a spare ball. Don't you buy a spare ball to shoot spares more straight? I just don't understand the reasoning behind putting that core in a spare ball. It's like throwing a 10 pin ball at candlepins. They just don't go together.

According to the approved ball list at Bowl.com

Brunswick C-System Maxxed Out    June 2012
Brunswick Nexxxus f(P+S)              June 2012

Are these the two we've been waiting for ?
