Any Good feedback on the Total?
« on: December 16, 2006, 10:55:26 PM »
Okay so I've got a Total on the way, I'm usually one not to get all worked up on all the talk and such but I am seeing quite a few confused and disappointed Total Inferno postings. Myself I am wanting this ball for a medium to not quite too heavy oil conditions. What's the scoop? Any positive feedback on this one yet? - thanks

i just got mine drilled yesterday with the 2E layout and i have not tried it yet but the proshop guy said he has drilled 2 of the balls for himself and he wasn't really impressed with the ball but i'll give my opinion on it sometime during the week

Drilled mine up yesterday too.    Pin is 5" from pap, above my ring finger, im LOVING it so far.  Most versatile ball ive seen in a long time.   I was dissapointed at first, cause i could play the same line with the TI that i was playing with my Doom.  Then i decided to move around.  I pretty much played wherever i wanted on the lane, the ball would come back HARD.

1 thing i will say. Throw it BEFORE drilling a weight hole.  I was going to add a weight hole to get a bit more flare.  I threw the ball for about a game, then went to check where i was flaring(the bowling alley is VERY dark).  We checked, & i was flaring over to where the weight hole would be.  I measured, im not over flaring at all, its just about perfect as far as separation.

That's funny Kinalyx, I have the Doom as well ( no surprise awesome ball ) I want to put the TI above the doom in my line up when there is too much oil or the shot is too fresh for the Doom to handle. Looking at the pain or special agent for this as well

the Pain DEFINATELY handles right above the doom.  If there is just enough oil out there for where the doom wont finish, the pain will(i also have a pain).  Just drill it identical & it will do what u want.

As for the TI, i would say its definately above my Doom also.  I CAN play the same line(on an easy house shot), as my doom, but its a different shape, i can also play MUCH deeper than my doom can go.

I think either will work nicely for u.  If it makes a difference, so far, i like the TI better than my pain.

I might actually sell the pain & buy another TI & drill it VERY agressive, that or get a mammoth.

Wow Kong, mine hooks a BUNCH.  I bowled with it last night in league, they were apparently fairly slick, i couldnt tell until i switched balls cause i lost my line a bit.  I was playing roughly 17 to 8, coming up nicely, made the switch to my doom(its drilled fairly strong), & tried playing 13-8 & i missed the headpin to the right.  So, apparently my TI is VERY strong.

What drilling did u do?  I did 5" pin to pap with the pin above the ring finger, rolls great for me.

I did send mine back to Brunswick to have it checked out just in case something is wrong with it.

You shot 300 with it and you sent it back?
