Post by: lilphyzx on August 19, 2005, 06:31:50 AM
Hey fellas how do you guys out there who have the intense feel about it? Is it a ball worth having?

The few people I know that have one were not amused by it.

Its extremely condition specific. Sometimes it works wonders, other times its totally useless. For me, I only pull that out if I really have nothing else thats working, and thats just to see what it will do. It stays in the bag most of the time.

Best looking spareball Brunswick has ever made.

I've honestly seen about close to 100 "Good" bowlers throw it(mostly collegiate players, scratch bowlers and a handful to PBA players), only a very small percentage actually said it was great or they liked it.

I LOVE IT! IT IS THE BEST BALL I OWN! AND I HAVE THE ABSOLUTE! YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH ONE.
I shot my 300 with it. I wish I had the money to buy more.

I don't believe in intimidation, I don't believe in fear, I believe in one pharse Win or go Home and  that It don't mean a thing if it aint got that swing!Because no matter what its still 60 feet to the head pin no matter where you are. My Intense was drilled 2L, and like others who have replied, I found mine to be condition-specific.  In fact, it was effective only on conditions with some head oil but a well-defined dry area either to the right or in the back part of the lane.  However, when I had a condition like that, there was nothing better in the bag.

I should also mention that I took the cover of my Intense down to 600 smooth, which did help it read the midlane somewhat.

That sounds exactly right.  Mine WAS drilled 5 x 3, pin down below fingers.  It would really flip off the dry.  I just couldn't control it on most conditions.  I came in 7th in a doubles tourney with the ball, averaged 216 for 16 games, partner averaged 203.  Good ball if you can find the right condition....

I really like my Intense Inferno.  Pin over the fingers on my span line, cg on my span line, makes this ball about a 4 1/2 X 4 1/2.

It is very predictable to me.  Works well on house shot, some PBA shots.  It is earlier than my Backyard Bully, and some earlier than my Xception.  Sharp breakpoint, hits good.  I keep it pretty shiny.

Will admit that I haven't done great with this ball in the shop.  Have sold about 5-6, the least of any of the Inferno balls.
