Hey Brunswick Nation fans.Brunswick compared the Ultimate Inferno too the Strike Zone. Will the Strike Zone die as fast as the Ultimate Inferno did?

If you clean the ball/maintain the coverstock the ball wont die. The Strike Zone from what I have seen picks up a bit sooner than the UI (Asyemetric Core) and a little more archier. Great ball for the price.

P.S. I have about 100 games on my UI and it still hooks/hits as much as it did day 1. Keep the surface usually 800-1200 grit.

You sure you weren't just playing in the dry? The Ultimate is a beast and if it is too dry it rolls out. Keep it in the oil where it belongs. The Activator coverstock is one of the most endurable coverstocks out there being able to go hundreds of games retaining almost OoB condition without being resurfaced.

laner7pin,

You say that you think the Strike rolls up sooner and is arcier than an Ultimate.  Do you have similar layouts in the two that you compared. That contradicts our data and our first hand accounts of what we've seen between the two. I know the Strike is still young, but what we've seen is a ball that is a little cleaner through the fronts and sharper at the break point than an Ultimate when compared on the same conditions.

Cleaning and maintaining surface is essential in preserving the performance of any ball, even more so on solid surfaces as opposed to pearls, especially if you prefer the ball any kind of dull. The surface of the Strike will need the same maitenance an Ultimate needs since it is the same coverstock.

Given the longevity of my Ultimate, I sure hope so.
