i was going to drill my nemesis for medium oil conditions but then i read a lot of posts that said that its too rolly and i need a ball to go long...and i also read that the absolute its almost the best ball in the market right now.
i already have a storm vertigo that works great for heavy oil conditions
so how can i drill my absolute to bowl on medium conditions (i have a dry r power grove for light),i also read that its better to leave the coverstock out of the box...i was thinking on polished a little bit..so what should i do?
so what advice can you give me? i dont have a lot of time i have until thursday to drill it becasuse i have a national tournament to bowl on friday.
My main concerns are how to drill it to put it under my vertigo and above my power groove dry/r but still make it to bowl on medium and what should i do with the coverstock?

this is a very aggressive reactive pearl. if you want length from the coverstock on medium conditions you'll need to change it. the ball comes from the factory wetsanded 400 grit and then rough buff is applied. you may need to sand it to a finer grit and apply the factory finish high gloss polish. trial and error will help you decide. good luck.

As far as I'm concerned, Absolute's box condition is 220grit wet sand than rough buff.. 400grit wetsand is the base for all other balls with high gloss polish on.. That's what it's says on Brunswick's website..

If your Vertigo is in box condition, Absolute will be perfect one step down.. But there will be too much gap between Absolute and Dry/R..

I would drill either Zone Classic or Original Inferno for real mediums for your style.. However, if you still want to try Absolute, I would place the pin 5-1/2 to 6 inches from PAP, pin above bridge with an xhole on your PAP.. For more demanding/sports conditions, I would place the pin below for more control through the entire lane..

If you want to adjust the cover for length, I would sand it with maroon pad (appr. 320-400grit) than apply Brunswick High Gloss Polish. Track Magic Shine also works great..

Having similar style, probably BrunsNick can give you better advice.

yeah tat would be great...nick if you read this and you could tell me if you have an absolute for medium how did you drill it and how did you leave the coverstock
the thing is than here in argentina we dont play on house conditions,its not a sport shot either..its most like a sh"*ty condition....or even we play we tons of oil and there is when i use my vertigo or we play with an excessive backend without any pull on the track area so its pretty hard...imagine that i carry 205 average here and i average 225+ on miami area and i bowl one regiobnal stop at 216 average so...

My favorite layout for the Absolute on medium conditions was putting the pin under the middle finger 5 1/2" from PAP, no x hole. I left the surface out of box.

Real smooth, not overly skiddy or snappy.
