I was wondering for those who have both, how similar they are. My Smokin' would be drilled pin above and right of ring, cg out slightly. The Absolute would be a stacked drilling, pin right of ring, cg out.

I'm trying to find out with two totally different drillings, what I can expect. Thanks for the help.

I thought the SI was made for med to light oil?  So in a sense it's supposed to be condition specific.

havent thrown a smokin yet, but i use my absolute on everything. On my 2nd shift sport pattern the outsides are bone dry so stand left throw right and the ball seems to travel enough and retain its energy. I tried to play the right side of the lane (im righty) and the ball seemed to burnout. There are 2 ppl in my league who use the abso on on the right and dont have any problems. (im a cranker) In the oil ( even just a little bit) the ball seems to carry for me with a sharp back end to the pocket.  When i try not to rev it it gives a smooth arc.  Tough choice, too bad i havent thrown the smokin.  What kind of player are you, how many revs, speed, and i might be able to judge a little better.
