fury succes!
« on: October 03, 2007, 02:48:28 AM »
after messing around with the cover a bunch of times i think i might of matched it up for our house shot. ball is  polished to somewhere around 1200 - 1500. couldnt get a consistant reaction out of it. just messing around i scuffed it up with a steel wool pad. ball is still semi shiny but has better grip. i love the reaction it gets now! insited of long and snappy its a medium and hard arcing. i got to use it all three games. ball left maybe two single pins all night when i hit pocket. ball has very explosive hit where before being at 800grit, 400grit, and 400grit with polish, it just hit soft.

Good deal. Everything I've seen with that ball is about finding the right surface. I know we all go through it with whatever ball, but the Fury appears to need that attention more so. Not a knock against it because I've seen good results from other bowlers, too.

We've drilled plenty of them and MATCHING THE SURFACE to the bowler and condition is everything!!  So when someone isn't having success, it almost always too much surface for the condition they're seeing, so "carry" suffers.

Once they get it right, they love the consistent read on the lane without sacrificing hitting power. A very versatile ball to have around.
