Evil or Wicked Siege to Compliment Ultimate Inferno?
« on: January 19, 2011, 06:02:01 AM »

I've had an undrilled  Ultimate   Inferno for years and I am finally getting back into bowling  and am ready to build a small arsenal to have for leagues and possibly  eventually tournaments. I have an old Raging Inferno that I've used for  years on every shot (probably over 1000 games) and it still seems to hit hard to me, but I'm ready to try some new equipment.

I'm deciding between the Evil Siege and the Wicked Siege to  compliment my Ultimate Inferno. I have average revs and ball speed and I  usually don't play too far inside...my typical house shot is between 17  and 20 board over 2 arrow and my average is 205 to 210. My house lanes  never seem too wet or too dry.

I would like to get the Evil Siege as my go-to ball because from the  brunswick videos it seems to fit my style best but I'm afraid it may be  too close to the Ultimate. I'm also thinking the Wicked may be too much ball for my house. My original plan was to get the Evil and drill it to go longer and turn the corner hard and drill the Ultimate to roll earlier and use it for heavier oil but I am finding out that the Ultimate may be less ball than the Evil Siege.  Just seeing if anybody had any experience  using and comparing these balls and could offer any input as to what to use and/or how to drill them, which would  all be appreciated.

I am new to the forum thing so please excuse my beginner like post.

Of the two, the Wicked will make the stronger move off of friction, but the Evil isn't exactly a slouch in that department.  I'd say that you'd get a larger separation if you went with the Evil, particularly if you put a light coat of polish on it.

I agree with Ray. The Wicked is a bit stronger than the Evil, but with both being pearls and the Ultimate being a solid you should see a nice contrast with either one.

I appreciate the advice. I went ahead and got the Evil Siege. I'm going to drill it with the pin up to go long and have turn the corner harder, which is how I like it. Would you say I should drill the Ultimate Inferno the same way for consistency or should I maybe drill it with the pin down for earlier roll since it's going to be my heavy oil ball?

Sorry I am late but the Wicked Siege was offering $50 rebate, don't know if the Evil was included in that
