Title: Wild Card or Evil Siege
Post by: Dewey24 on April 23, 2010, 04:11:49 AM
Hey folks,
I have the opportunity to purchase either a Wild card or Evil Siege at a really great price. I'm looking for some advice as to which to get. Here's what I'm looking for:
A nice smooth rolling piece, I don't want a hockey stick reaction. I plan on drilling the ball pin down something like 50 X 5 X 70. My stats are:
Tweener
PAP over 5 up 1/2
315 Rev Rate
16-17 mph
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

IME neither ball will give you a "hockey stick" type of reaction, so it all comes down to what sort of reaction shape you like.  If you prefer an Inferno-like roll, then I'd go with the Wild Card.  If you'd rather have something that rolls more like the old asymmetrical Zones, then the Evil Siege would be the ball for you.

It sounds like you would really like the Wild Card.  It is exactly what type of reaction you said you were looking for in a new ball.  I haven't been dissapointed with my Wild Card yet which is drilled 45 Deg x 4 1/2" x 50 Deg.  My PAP is 5 3/8" over and 7/8" up with speed of 16 - 17 mph and a higher rev rate.  The Wild Card doesn't over react and is very smooth.

I'd have to agree with Ray. I prefer to use my Wild Card on heavier conditions as well as extreme wet-dry conditions because it really never jumps when it hits the friction.

Wild card is a definite sleeper ball and the cover is very versatile.
You can create a hockey stick reaction, for a Brunswick ball, with layout and tweaking the shell BTW.
