Comparison of avalanche slide pearl and solid?
« on: January 14, 2009, 12:56:32 PM »
Besides from obvious things such as the slide gets more length than the pearl, can some people compare these three for me as well as which one you like the best and why. Also which ball hooks more over all pearl or slide?

For me...the Pearl hooks the least of the three, with the Solid and Slide about two boards stronger overall.  The Pearl is also the shortest of the three, and the smoothest.  The Solid is longer and slightly sharper at the break, and the Slide is longest and sharpest of all.

Remember, though...your mileage may vary.

I have the pearl. Agree with the two comments above, extremely smooth off the break point for a pearl. Fantastic ball (and cheap!) on fresh med-dry and broken down shot. Drilled pin down 3’ pin to PAP, with weight hold down on VAL.

One of my best purchases in 2008.

Oh, and the colour is very very cool! Mine has equal amount of Blue and Silver (I think the one in the Brunswick has more silver than blue. With a little bit of rev., when rolling it’s the coolest look ball since Intense Inferno!

Can’t help you with the solid/slide though, good luck!
