Strike Zone......
« on: November 21, 2005, 03:52:46 AM »
I've been looking at this ball for a while. I heard it
has a Classic Zone Core with the Ultimate Inferno
Activator Cover.

How much oil can this handle?

Jonathan you are in the same dilemma as me,   it has the classic Zone Core although it is larger then the original Zone core with the Activator Cover stock.

bowl...What are you currently using to compare it too...I Currently have an Ultimate inferno and an Absolute Inferno.  I love the ultimate but hate the Absolute and am looking at replacing it and the Strike Zone is on my short list.  Please give comparison to other balls you have..Thanks

I was just curious. I used a lot a variety of companies
such as Hammer and Ebonite.

I throw the Hawg, High Rev, Big Rig, and Big Time for oil.

Ultimate and Strike Zone...two balls same cover...one symmetric...ONe strongly with mass bias.

Mass bias can have a potentially sharper move, and generate angle quickly.

D Pat you are saying that the Strike Zone is stronger than the Absolute I agree on paper but here is my problem... my Absolute is stronger than my ultimate.  Same Drilling pattern and I just had the Ultimate reconditioned and the Absolute still out hooks the ultimate, but the big problem is the carry.  I just cannot carry with the Absolute too many 7 8 9 10 pins smash the pocket all night but no carry.  It seems the ultimate carries much better for me.  I am thinking back to my old Danger Zone ( loved the ball shot 3 300s with it also 799)  and also love the Ultimate I think the cover stock is better than the Absolute (for me).  Why not combine the 2 and see what happens.  Do you know if the Strike Zone is stonger than the Ultimate or about Equal.  I do have plenty of equipment for medium to light oil so I keep looking for better stuff to use on the inside line.
