Well, it is like this... As I've improved my game and am having success with an AI and RedZone, I went to the proshop to spend some extra pesos I had. I arrived and no Total, no BlastZone, which were my first two options. (I know, the comment is what kind of proshop it is, well...) I had in mind a Storm Special Agent some time ago, but after reading here some comments about crackings, I had Brunswick in my mind instead. They had the Fury but I went for the good ol' reliable Activator, so for a great deal,  I picked up the last RZ my friend at the proshop had. No box, no specs, only one label with a 15 lb mark. It was drilled as my first one: pin above fingers, PSA just right at 5 o'clock from the thumb. If this thing works like the first one, I would be more than satisfied.

Now, my question is, is there a way Brunswick can tell me the specs of this ball with the serial number? I'm not that worried but would like to have this info. Thank you for reading and for all your comments.

well.... I am a "dummy" when it comes to such things but a dumb question

wouldn't the proshop need to fill the drilling of the thumb and then find the cg again or use the old mark... and tw can be weighted and gross weight can be weighted with a normal balance

You can see the pin to cg distance.The ending statics are all that matter and your driller should be able to put the ball on a dodo scale and tell you those numbers.

Brunswick can not tell you all the specs based on the serial number. Without the box, you would have had to weigh it before drilling to find the total gross weight and top weight.

As a routine I always ask my driller to check weights at the end of the process, the thing is that they were remodeling his place and it was kind of weird there (people and providers everywhere). Now, he knows that my favorite drill is pin up fingers and CG not too far right in order to avoid an X-hole if possible. I'll take the ball to my local center and ask them to check weights because I have to drive 2 hours one way to get to this friend-driller. By the way, the ball has a 4" pin and CG ended exactly at 1" from center of span.

good deal.. i still have my Riot zone and i love it.  anyway, any pro shop operator and get the specs for you, top weight, side weight, etc.  all they should have to do is put it on the do-do scale.  just like that have to check the ball for finger, thumb and side weights.  the same method should apply for figuring out your top weight (3 oz usually come out for standard 3 hole drilling), though it would depend if you use grips (standard drill 15/16 drill bit, 2.5in deep finger holes) or without grips where the finger holes can be different sizes and depths.  and they have standard conversion charts they can estimate what your ball weighed before drilling.

I usually do not get on here to correct people, but the standard grip bit used is 31/32. If your driller has bits in the /64 range, they will tweek them tighter by using a 61/64 bit or looser by using a 63/64 bit. Those tweaks are usually for someone in between sizes that either do not like tape around the back of the grips or do not have access to the /64 sizes that Turbo and Vise make or use a style that both of those companies do not produce the /64 sizes for. Grips sizes in the 7/8 range and higher usually use a 1 1/32 bit unless there Contours which are still 31/32 but look almost paper thin in those sizes. Lady ovals use a 7/8 bit and the same tweaks apply.

   thanks.  its been a while since i've worked in a proshop, so my memory's not that great.  i would love to work back in a pro shop again.  i really miss it.

...unless your finger inserts have an outside diameter of 7/8".
