Zone
« on: October 08, 2006, 09:14:37 AM »
What has made this name such a long running success for Big B? I know that I first got a BLUE SAPPHIRE ZONE from a PRO-AM tournament in North Brunswick, New Jersey and I loved it. But looking at the Retired Ball Sheet on the Big B web-site, there are a ton of ZONES. So I was just wondering what it was that made this such a popular ball?

Idiots like these Brunswick freaks will buy anything with Brunswick on it, I really believe that.

Why do come to this forum, it's obvious you have nothing to add to any thread here, or on this site for that matter.

Tourdelane is right, though it's not just Brunswick.  It's every ball company.  And it's everything in the world too.  Hell, just look at the world of sports.  Any player who joins your favorite team is God, then when they leave you hate their guts.  Anything associated with something a person deems good will automatically be awesome.

Why is it when someone asks a simple (maybe dumb) question, does it turn into a roast? I was just wondering why the ZONE name has lasted so long in the Brunswick line. I did not want this turn turn into a SLOBBER KNOCKER... And if TOUR wants to bash BIG B, that is fine. That is one person. I have numerous people that will not touch EBONITE. After all, you can buy them at SPORTS AUTHORITY & K-MART, so how good can they be. My oldest son bought one and it rolls like CRAP. I threw it and it just went straight. So IMHO, it is worthless to spend good money on a ball that does nothing for the way that I bowl. So TOUR, if the ball works for you GREAT. But why bash a company that works for so many people out there.

It's funny that Sawbones thread was posted here, because people like Mrtourdelane and The Truth are perfect examples of why this site is getting so bad. People like them being nothing to this site, they don't post any helpful information, there here to belittle others and cause trouble, nothing more. It's ashame too, I mean look at were this post went.

This used to be a great site but now i'm afraid to log in each day.

This post did not get a single reply before it got flamed and hijacked.

You guys must be working overtime.

Back on topic.
The Z logo is recognized by all bowlers as Brunswick.
The word zone is easily tagged with descriptive words like Danger,Bionic,Red,etc.
Serious bowlers know Zone balls are created with proven covers and cores at a reasonable price so give any new release a serious look.
I believe these are a few reasons for the name to live on.

THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT RACKATTACK. I know that the BLUE SAPPHIRE ZONE that I have was a great ball. But was there another name for it? I looked at the retired ball sheets for Big B and there was nothing on there. I remeber it just said ZONE on it and the color was blue.

TourDeLame, your skull is so thick, I should be bowling with your head.
See the link below to see what condition I bowled on LAST season at a DIFFERENT house.

At least I was man enough to get off the THS for a season, unlike yourself.

Go away, seriously, no one likes you, get a clue.

about the topic, it's all about smooth.

this ball was say ahead of its time in the mid 90's.

that is until the ultimate ball was released, Danger Zone Black, then the Sapphire faded into the Danger Zone's shadow.

still a very underrated ball.

I was Columbia back then so didn't pay a lot of attention to big B til I saw a Danger Zone on the rack with white finger grips.I loved the way that ball looked. The guy throwing it had a style similar to mine and was just crushing.
Next day I had my first Brunswick since the LT-48.Won a LOT of cash with that ball.
