Zone Classic
« on: January 09, 2005, 09:33:36 PM »
I decided on the Zone Classic today, cheaper than the absolute and I liked the original Activator cover better than the +.  My proshop ordered it today, should arrive Tuesday or Wednesday, $150 drilled is a good deal.

Anyway, I layed out my OI as if it had a PSA, if it did it would be right next to the thumb, pap side.  So, to duplicate this reaction on the ZC, should I do the same and ignore the cg?  I haven't had much luck with Assymetrical cores, but I think this one might be different.  I just want to duplicate the reaction as close as I possibly can.

If you want to truly duplicate the reaction of the OI, I suspect (don't know for sure) that you want to probably lower the pin a little and kick out the PSA a little more towards your PAP. heck, yo umigh teven have to scuff the cover. The ZC is much more flippy than the OI; THAT I do know. ZC has a higher RG and slightly lower RG Differential, but more enhanced mass bias backend, especially with the power PSA position that you are contemplating.

Actually I wonder if you'd ever get the ZC to duplicate the original. One of the Brunswick specialists here actually did say you could get the newer Absolute to duplicate the original.

Ckout the diagram on the right #11....but I want the pin around 4 1/2 above ring.  Should this be a sharp reaction?

probably want to consider your axis rotation when laying out a asymetrical core ball. i believe it will affect the back end reaction a great deal.

Andrew,

Sorry, but I can't see how that will be anything but VERy sharp in its reaction, very unlike an Original. A local tweener uses that drilling and his ZC flips unmercifully hard. A high pin and strong PSA on a ZC will not emulate the Inferno's reaction.

The OI is very, very flippy....for me!
