Zone Classic flares the other way?
« on: May 23, 2005, 08:16:16 PM »
Yesterday I was talking to the the guy who drills my bowling balls. He mentioned that he had been getting odd results from Zone Classics with certain layouts. I don't remember the layouts but the end result was that the ball flared the wrong way. He had concluded that this was due to the elliptical weight block in this ball. Somehow, the elliptical form of the weight block gives the ball two heavy spots instead of one, he reasoned. And that would produce ´negative´ flare. I just don't know. Comments, anyone?

Getting the PSA in the track combined with a PIN to PAP distance of 5 1/2 or more can yield those results.

It is not recommended that the PSA's be put in a negative position as they *could* flare over every hole in the ball.
