If I wetsand the Classic to 800 grit would I have the same ball as the Strike Zone? If not what is the difference?
-
The covers aren't the same. They are a different formulation of activator. Just like the original and ultimate inferno are different at the same grit.

Even at the same grit, you're taking solid versus pearl and that will make a significant difference.

I can't bowl 300, but I can bench 345 : )

No - solid reactive (same as Ultimate Inferno)

Thanks for the info, I knew the classic had the same cover as the Original but I didn't realize that ball was a pearl.
-
It is a pearl.

Factory finished with High Gloss Polish, the purple pearlized coverstock complements the Ultra Low RG Core to deliver an aggressive but forgiving ball reaction that matches up on medium-dry to medium-oily lane conditions.
