Title: Zone Hat from BrunsNick Review
Post by: Spider Ball Bowler on January 16, 2007, 12:23:20 PM
So I ordered a Blue Zone Hat with a White Z and Gold "ZONE" on it, from BrunsNicks site.  I got it pretty quick, but hadn't had a chance to wear it yet.  Finally last night in league after seeing my Detroit Lions hat starting to fall apart, I thought I might have found the right condition for it.

The first thing I wanted to do was change the appearence.  I took the hat, placed it in my right hand, spun it around and grabbed onto the bill and curled it, so that it wasn't so straight.  This causes the hat to look more stylish, and not so A)Gangsta or B)Nerdy from the 80's.

The first thing I noticed about this hat, was the nice color pattern, and fit on top of my head.  I felt as if I had a mold of my head placed into this hat for the perfect feel.

As league started, I felt the hat wasn't reacting quite right, so I shifted it up a little and the lights were then perfectly out of the way.  I was totally lined up.

The reaction I got was Long and Strong.  Got plenty of compliments and comments on the new hat.  Everyone wanted to know what I was wearing.

Overall I give this hat a 9.5/10.  If you're looking for a new hat, I recommend that you give this one a shot.  Of course make sure to adjust sizes, and style based on the type of head conditions you plan on using the hat for.

By the way I shot 196, 230, 258 and won $110....what a HAT!!

I got a pretty nice look so far without making any changes.  From what I have heard, you can spray on waterproofer and a cleaner that will keep a lot of dirt of off the hat and it really can change the look you get.  However for now I plan on keeping it in OOB surface

No tracking yet.  I have heard it was made with no fillers, so it should take a while to track

I whole-heartedly recommend getting those little "dude-bro" spikes in the holes in the hat. That will raise the RG, and create spikey-like friction.

I wonder if you can use Rough buff on this surface, or if you have to polish it up.

At first I had to get used to it.  I was off balance the first game hence the 196.  Once I made the adjustment and changed hat positions, I started getting the nice reaction and carry

Reading this thread is SO much more enjoyable than wading through personal bickering about hurt feelings. Now, as far as arsenals go, is it allowable to mix companies? Is it possible to have a three-hat arsenal all from the same maker? And, let's not even debate 5-panel versus 6-panel caps!
