Brunswick shoes
« on: January 15, 2007, 01:29:04 AM »
Are the newer Brunswick shoes similar to Dexters? Looking into getting a pair and replacing my 4 year old ABS shoes (yes I know Dynoroos but I got mine before the name change) and looking into the Classic's. Never tried Dexter's before, curious to see how they compare/feel to Dyno's. Probably will be ordering a new pair in the next couple of weeks, as Dr. Evil would say, "need the info..."

The Classics are pretty much identical to the SST6LX. Just a little different stitching and different color bottoms.

I have the Swirls, they are some comfy shoes!

My understanding is that Dexter makes shoes with the Brunswick and Dexter names.  B shoes are just a little lower on the quality end.  I had an issue with some Briunswick Zone shoes and they told me to contact Dexter because Dexter made them...The shoes are fine,a dn now that I have a slide sock, any and all sticking has disappeared.

I may order another pair of Swirls down the road, either the Red/Black or Teal/Orange. I hope they come out with more colors, but we'll see!

I had a pair of the Brunswick Classic's (SST 6LX's). Key word being had.  I sent them back to Dexter, after less than 6 months the non-slide sole was peeling apart from the shoe in 3 places.  I have been an avid Dexter user for about 7 years now, the Dexter SST 6LX's were not in stock when I wanted new shoes and the distributor we work with said the Brunswick's were essentially the same shoe so I went with them.  This is my opinion but I think the rubber on the Brunswick's non-slide sole is much softer than the Dexter's thus causing the issue I had.  I now have went back to Dexter and my SST 6LX's just arrived yesterday.  I think that the Brunswick shoes are very comfortable but I do think that the some materials (non-slide sole) are not the same quality of the Dexter's.  Thanks.

Same shoe, slight stitch and upper design variation. As told to me by a dexter rep.

After now owning the Brunswick Classics and the SST 6LX's....The Brunswick's are more comfortable on the inside but the Non-slide sole (where I had my issue) is completely different and much better on the SST 6LX.  I was told they will be re-designing this shoe and hopefully the new 6LX will incorporate the best of both.
