Title: Zone Pro Active
Post by: PowrKoil17 on November 12, 2011, 10:01:05 AM
First off, my son has an Evil Siege (very smooth) and an Ultra Zone (skid snap) which we have found on longer heavier patterns are not strong enough. I saw an old Zone Pro Active ball on the rack at the bowling alley in great shape. I am thinking of buying it off of the alley. It looks just like my Sapphire Solid in color, does anyone out there know anything about this ball? I would assume that it is a particle solid, but which coverstock does it have? DTX, ETX, OR MTX?  Would it be worth the $20 investment?

It was ETX I am pretty sure and I thought it was the worst of the Brunswick Pro Actives. Not that it was a terrible ball but it was their first one and the later covers had better finish and carry I think. Probably worth $20 but I wouldn't go too much more than that. Very good control piece on tighter shots.

also I believe the Zone Pro came in several different pin colors. . .
standard issue was a yellow pin
TE1 red pin
TE2 green pin
TE3 orange pin
