Title: Advertising videos
Post by: charlest on February 12, 2011, 02:24:34 AM
Regarding the new (last week or so) videos that appear at random places on various ballreviews web pages:
They are chewing up my CPU at various high rates from 25-70% of my available CPU, according to my Task manager program. I have tried accessing ballreviews in 2 different browser programs, Internet Explorer and Google's Chrome. It happens to both of them on my PC.
If you can't give the option of removing them, could you at least make it an option to play them, INSTEAD OF THE CURRENT option of my having to page down to it and having to pause its playing????

Using Mozilla Firefox 3.6.13 and add-on Flashblocker allows the vids to be blocked but allows your site ads which you want running to be allowed access to site. Hence, your CPU isn't effected and is within your site admittance rules. Works for me anyway.
I have seen all the vids admins have posted on BR on XtraFrame.

FYI I started using Firefox at the suggestion of Scott. I have not had any CPU usage problems since then.
