Joe here is an alternate option which I have been using for quite some time since the spellcheck on here isn't exactly reliable.

I'm all for suggesting that everyone just use Firefox 2.0 but I will get the spell check fixed in the next few days.

I always type my posts(Medium-Long) out on word first and use that spell check then copy & paste.
