The last two days I keep getting a You Have A New Message alert but I don't see any new messages.

There was someone who had re-registered for the apparent sole purpose of spamming several of the regulars to continue their personal feud in a now-defunct board...once the user was again deleted, the message disappeared from view.

I had the same "you have a message" thing also when I turned on my computer yesterday. I clicked on it and there was no message. The message reminder wouldn't go away no matter what I tried. Finally later in the day a friend of mine pm'd me. When I clicked to read his message, it went away.

I received a message as well, but I was able to read it. It was just another troll trying to start up trouble. You guys didn't miss anything by not being able to read it.

I didn't miss the message. It was just irritation that I couldn't get the "you have a message indicator" to go away. All day long it stayed there until a friend messaged me later in the day at which time when I clicked on his message, it then went away along with his message indicator also.

As far as I know, I have not had any feuds with anyone in the past.  Anyways, after logging in to post this reply, I got the same New Message alert.  Just tried to send myself a message to see if I can get rid of it.  Will check after posting this.

Ok, that worked.  Sending myself a message got rid of that New Message alert.  Cool.

Just some banned clown with a new name posting personal info.  Since misc. non-bowling forum is gone, he could only do it via pm.  Spamming a website at its finest.  Mods cleaned it up pronto.
