I guess I asked for this but I try and give everyone a fair shake. Well I ordered my balls 8 total and shipped them directly tuesday and i supplied him a tracking number the following day.
I have gotten nothing but excuses since, Promised to ship outon wednesday more than once then pushed it to thursday. Said he had a tracking number, then said his wife had a tracking number, then said he would ship my 5pm today. Well I still don't have a tracking number. What I do have is my 8 balls in route to an Azzhole. So I will try and get a hold of my shipment tomorrow before it gets to him on Monday.
Everyone here knows me and knows what kind of business man I am, I wish I could say the same for this user but I sure as hell can't. Now if he gets me a tracking number and I get my balls fine but I still won't ever deal with him agian and I hope nobody else will.
Well as requested by all of you and promised by me we have the following pics of the Awesome balls I received from BrunsStan/HokoKongo/BrunsJim/JojoDioko/The-Game or whomever was nice enough to send these balls.

**Third and yes it gets better we have a very nice Columbia Surge, I would estimate this one to have the least number of games as you can see from the pic there is little to no track whatsoever.

i also had a deal going with BrunSstan, but afeter to talking to JPRLane1 it just made me to uneasy to deal with him, and it looks like a good thing it did. Unlike you guys i ordered through buddies the ball he wanted so i was an easy for me to stop the ball. I hope you guys can get your stuff back.

anything. I guess what really made me question these
transactions was the fact that in one of his post, he
said no sales, just trades. Then he offered me a Hybrid

he was real fast to send emails back at first-then it came to a halt
seemed funny-was hot and heavy then bang
we had a deal going-and then he just seemed to fall off the earth. As some will state reputation are earned and i will let mine as one of the longest members on this site stand for itself. There is a very nice large group that we all know and do business with, that are trustworthy. And then i guess thier are others.
Time will tell where this one ends

If that's a UPS number it will not work, considering UPS will only use one letter in the tracking number, the Z in the second spot. So that x in there makes the thing not work, so that number won't track. Assuming it's supposed to be by UPS, which by the 1Z thing, looks like it. Maybe he'll send you a valid one........Hopefully.
I don't know much about shipping to different places, but, shouldn't you guys get different numbers considering two different orders are going to two different places?

This is the reason that I feel people that are established in trades here should be able to have the items shipped to them first, then the newer person gets their stuff. Fair is fair, and some people are trustworthy and have shown this, others are not known about-----and it ends up being like this.

He really is a good kid but he obviously made a mistake. I have bowled with his father in state and city tournaments. I can speak with my league president and get his phone number. All I can say is that you had best be glad I was not one of your victims...I have dealt with the AUSA's on more than one incident of internet-related crime- last kid (I use the term loosely, he was 18-19 years old) got booted from NMSU and plead to two years. And I can assure you that the fact that you are a minor is not a bar to prosecution at either the state or federal level. While it is certainly possible that you would only be kept in a juvenile facility until you reached the age of majority, there is no requirement that records be sealed. Try explaining an arrest and subsequent conviction, even on an inchoate offense, to a prospective employer...you will find more doors shut in your face than you can imagine.
Before making bold claims of how you cannot be prosecuted, you might want to spend some time reading the Penal Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure (or equivalent in your state).

Anyway, there is definitely some major garbage being provided by (originally) BrunStan. First he lies (several times) about who he is and where he is located. Changes his story several times about who he's screwed and what he going to do about it. Then he creates new identities to try to throw everyone off the trail. Ok guys I am starting to worry here, last week I had called my proshop owner and had him call his distributor and we turned the packages around and were suppose to be getting them sent back to his distributor. Well I just tracked them again and the way I read it the a**hole I sent them to has perhaps called UPS and scheduled a pickup, would UPS do this with me having filed a return to sender thing in the first place. I was breathng easier thinking my balls were on the way back to me and now I am not so sure kinda worried. Especially since even though he did send me something I don't even know what it is and it ont be here until wednesday. If your guys know more about uPS than me please help, also I have not called them directly since technicaly I didn't ship the packages myself but I did just get off the phone with my proshop guy agian and told him to call his dist so we could sort this out.

leads me to believe that your pro-shop guy made arrangements to STOP delivery and he will pick up the package at a predetermined UPS station. IF he doesn't get the package in 5 days .. the receiver has an arrangement for special PICK-UP .. I would believe that the SENDER'S instructions will prevail over the receiver's .. I would think that UPS will clarify that. Did the PRO SHOP state that he was going to pick-up the package? He should get clarification! I think you are safe (at least till the 5 days are over!).

Tough being the payee where there are three other people controlling the transaction (RECEIVER/PRO-SHOP/DISTRIBUTOR).
I still think you are OK if the package is picked up within the 5 days. Set that aside .. what are your intentions with the package due to be delivered to you? (I apologize if you have defined your plan .. haven't read ALL the notes!).If you get 4 good balls .. you were expecting 8 .. what will you do with the 4? Can't for the life of me figure what you will do if there are 4 of the balls agreed too!
Once you open the package can you RETURN TO SENDER? Evidently the address of the seller is NG (your package was REFUSED)! You can't send balls in the original deal to him .. YOU HAVE NO ADDRESS! What benefit do you get from accepting the package?
I ask all these questions BEFORE you get delivery .. wondering what your thought process is!

Joe these are all good questions and I have been asking myself the same. First he could have refused for two reasons in my mind, A. He decided not to accept my balls knowing he might very well get caught and brought up for fraud, that is assuming they went to a real address of his. B. They did in fact go to some unsuspecting address but I do not feel that was the case. Also another user on here purchased a used ball from him and I asked him to confirm thhis guys mailing address but all his box had was the address form the UPS store so I have a feeling whatever balls I am getting will be the same. To answer your question once I open a package can I return it to sender yes but only at my own expense. I plan to open the package I get all be it with a lot of caution, I have expressed to this user if he sent his balls I would be happy to send mine, So if I get 4 of the promisd 8 I will send 4 that I owe him, If I get four odd balls,house balls or anything else they are swiftly on their way back his way assuming for either of these he can verify his address and real name to me somehow, which he himself has failed to do.

Why should you take a chance with this guy when he has done nothing but lie from the beginning? If you agreed on an 8 ball swap, why would he just send 4??
Once again, refuse it and be done with the aggrevation..

I haven't tracked it this morning but its just normal gorund which generally means anytime of day. Its coming to my house and I am at work, assuming I don't have to sign for it(I can't be there too anyway) and I never have bowling balls before I will get it when I leave work around 4:00pm or so. I think UPS generally gets to my house around 1 or 2 pm though.

But just for information's sake.... Chris McEndarfer = YABA Bowler, Nick Dean = ABC Bowler... bowl.com will give you this information quite easily... Each person knows who the other is, but they do not bowl together.. I've been bowling for 18 years and as I've previously said to g_thing in a PM, I'd stick my neck out for Nick any day of the week.

Yes that ball with "PBA" logo on it is a Storm Blue Thunder.
From reading this post along with several others, it almost seems like buying/selling/trading on here isnt worth it anymore. I have been a loyal member to this site for over 4 years now and have done lots of buying/selling probably upwards of 50-60 balls total. I personally have never had a problem on either end and this is way before the "buyer-seller feedback section" was needed because 99% of the members at the time were honest and true to their word on transactions. Now it seems everybody is bashing everybody for deals falling through, getting hosed left and right, scamming and fraud. Of those from what I read, almost ALL of these deals are coming from "younger" people, under 21-22 years old (younger for I am all of 25) and some even under 18 which means they more than likely will not get into any kind of trouble except for their parents would do to them which is probably nothing.
An idea for this site should be 18+ (proof with credit card or something), charge an annual fee (nothing much like a few bucks, but only to prove that they are legal age), only ONE screen name is allowed and they are not allowed to change their name more than once a year. Must have a valid email address, valid ebay account name, and if possible a valid paypal account address. This way for buying/selling there are several ways of making sure a deal goes through and if something happens:
1st offense, suspended for 10 days
2nd offense suspended for 30 days
3rd offense, banned for life
Everytime all funds/equipment will be returned or else valid legal action can/will be taken by proper people, starting with the owners of the site. I could keep going on and on but I have probably already stirred the pot enough to get the offenders riled up. To all the true members who arent here to "screw" anybody else over on a deal, lets get something like this together. To all the members who are causing all these problems....make room on your ignore list for me because I am tired of this site slowly turning into a scam-fest.

That doesn't sound unreasonable, but it seems most of the scams occur during "trades." I haven't really seen a lot of rip-offs in buy/sell situations - I'm sure they happen, but most seem to be trades. Really, whats the best way to do a trade - ship your stuff and wait for the person to get it and hope they send their stuff? Most seems to be "you send me a tracking number and I'll ship mine." Thats all fine and dandy until somebody pulls the stuff that happened here and ships some junk. Very few people are willing to ship their stuff and "hope" that the other person is honest enough to do the same.
I don't have any better ideas - I would think that maybe if you were going to trade, you would have an idea of the value of the trade. One person would agree to "buy" a ball - the other ships with the agreement that if the ball is as stated they will then "sell" their half for the same amount. So, you are "trading," but really you are buying and selling, and at least then you have PayPal to fall back to if the items aren't as described.
That of course brings up problems with the PayPal system, etc. I think it would be great if there was a trusted member that would work as the middle man in a trade. Maybe somebody like Doug that both parties would ship the balls too and Doug would confirm the balls and conditions before forwarding them to the respective parties. This would of course add to the shipping charges, and I'm sure the person (Doug or whoever) would want to charge a small fee for their time. Not to mention the person would need space to store the balls and everything else.
***Note: Not trying to single out Doug - I don't know Doug, never dealt with him, but I have read tons of good stuff about him. Based on what I've read, I would feel comfortable shipping a ball to him to get my measurements, have somebody else ship a ball to him for him to plug and re-drill for me.
Just an idea that was kicking around in my head. I wish that I had the time to offer to be the person to be the middle man for these transactions.
Anybody unemployeed and looking for a way to themselves busy and make a little money on the side? Could this be a viable option???
