Unhappy with transaction....
« on: November 19, 2005, 12:00:46 PM »
I am not going to mention a user name in this because I am going to give him the chance to make this deal right..

I agreed to buy a 4 ball Brunswick Competitor roller bag from a user here and we agreed to a price and I sent him the funds via paypal.

I received the bag today and I am not happy.. First off, its in about 6 or 7 pieces in the box, I can't find any screws or hardware to put it together, much less any instructions and to top it all off the removable top shoe compartment is missing!! Its not even here.. There is no place to put your shoes!!!

Its supposed to be the this bag:

http://store.yahoo.com/bowlersdream/competitor4.html

Why do users sell something and tear it apart and not ship it with everything to put it all back together???? If he was going to tear it apart to ship it, tell me that ahead of time.. I have shipped mutiple 4 ball bags and never had to tear one apart like this..

I have send this user a private message and I hope he makes things right with this deal and thats me sending this whole mess of parts back to him and me getting a refund. I did not agree to this bag arriving in parts and missing the section where your shoes are supposed to go..

With this deal and that jeffseniorpba guy ripping me off, I am only dealing with people I have dealt with before. Thats it....

Like I said, maybe the user just forgot to send the top show compartment, but now after finally figuring out how to put the bag together, the handle is not working either.. It seems like some parts are missing??

I am going to give the user time to respond to my private messages and I am hoping he makes things right.. This bag was advertised as in great condition with wear and tear on the wheels and back part of the bag and that was fine, but a missing shoe compartment and the handle that doesn't work is not acceptable..

I will update this post as needed..

I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. He could have had to take the whole thing apart in order to get it to fit in a smaller box than it originally was shipped in. He might have gotten rid of that large box. (I do still have the large box that my 4 ball bag came in, but most people don't do that.) That's one possibility.

The handle could have gotten damaged in shipping or in packing AND in dismantling the the whole mess, he could have lost parts.

YES, HE SHOULD HAVE TOLD YOU ALL THIS BEFORE HAND.

Where the shoe bag is, I have no idea.

WHile I have gotten involved in similar shenanigans, some have worked themsleves out, and others have not. I have not traded here in a while, although I have a ball up for sale right now, with much trepidation and hesitation.

After JeffPBASchmuck's incident, I think you would have already made the decision to trade with only knownnon-offenders.

Charlest,

thats just it, this user DOES have very good feedback on here and he did contact me this morning and we are trying to work this out. He said he forgot to ship the shoe compartment but thats the least of my worries with the handle not working correctly..

Oops, sorry, JK.
Glad you two are getting together; hope you can work this out to the extent that you can actually delete this post.

Good luck.
