I've had one or two trades with guys under 19 that have come off.

What I've experienced in general though is about a 98% failure rate in successful trades with guys under 19.

To contrast recently I did 6 trades, 4 were with guys I guess as 28 to 55.
2 with guys under 19.

The trades with guys over 28 went like this.
One or two emails with specs or pictures, a paypal, and or a shipping # each way in one or two days and a ball arrived within 5 business days exactly as described!

What I got on my other two trades with guys under 19 is no balls, over 30 emails in each trade and a lot of aggravation.

Oh why don't I have the name of the second guy in this post.
The first guy is not_enough_carry203.

WELL I DID SOMETHING WRONG TOO!  So I won't mention the guys name!

See in the second trade I was sending out 6 balls that day and for one of the trades I sent out a ball I hadn't looked at in about 6 months and it DID not match my description.
I said two drills and instead it had 3 thumbholes.  ME BAD.

However this trade is what I call the Ball INspection trade!

Me selling older ball and wanting minor cash for a good working older ball.
He wanting this older ball he said and I verified two drillings on ball.
I was not correct.

Against my better judgement I agreed to take a Better ball, or newer with less games and a single drilling instead of cash.

The other younger party said I really would rather trade than send cash.  At no time did we discuss drill patterns.  Just sort of traded blindly as I figured if his didn't fit it was righty single drill and I could sell.

He replied to me his parents had had some bad experiences trading stuff on internet so therefore he was going to have me send the ball to HIM and he would inspect and then send ball to me if ball met his inspection.

I replied it was not done that way and that we would both send to each other and exchange shipping numbers and he agreed.

Day came I shipped and sent tracking #.  He got tied up, it slipped his mind, no one could get to shipping center, you know!

Anyway SURPRISE his ball never showed up!  SURPRISE.  Then he got my ball and discovered a third thumbhole.  Me surprised but still admit badness!  Anyway the trade was never fair.  Always in my favor if done but what I really wanted was cash!

Anyway, it turns out that the problem is not the three drillings but the only way to drill and not get track in swithching to righty from lefty is kicking the cg out.  This is a pattern that doesn't work for him.  OH boy!

So anyway he replies that he will ship agreed on ball(his ball) out to me and is pissed and will never trade on ballreviews again.  Bad luck on other trades too!

I reply I can send money as I did make a mistake, and frankly the ball is great just try it!  OR send my ball back to me. No he is sending the agreed ball and he doesn't want anything. BUT WILL never trade on ballreviews again!

WE agree on when ball will be sent and I wait.  NO ball, and no return of my ball. (Two times now he's agreed to send ball).

Anyway after almost two weeks I email and he said father has sent my ball back and I should have!   I don't!

Anyway here I am, my ball not back, enjoying another trading experience with one of our 19 year old and under traders!

Again I do state I am NOT blameless on this trade gone bad.

Somehow I think even if ball only had the promised two thumb holes.  I'd still be getting my ball back(as pattern would have caused right hand kick out), and I would have been involved in what I now call.

"THE BALL INSPECTION TRADE".

Lessons learned.
1. Inspect balls you ship and make sure they are EXACTLY as described.  Trading too many in one week caused my carelessness.
2. Stop trading with people under 19, (I broke this rule).
3. Always get description and give them EVEN if not asked for!

REgards,

Luckylefty
PS note I did not name anyone as I would not name them because of my shared responsibility for this trade gone bad.

Yeah!!! I would hate to lose a good deal because of my age. So far, I have no negative feedbacks and would be extremely pissed if other 20- year olds messed up me reputation. I REFUSE TO BE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST!!! I HAVE A DREAM!!!

But c'mon Lefty, be a little more open-minded.

Ask anyone I've done deals with, all of them went as smooth as any other trade. No Im serious, I want you to look in my profile, and message the people I have listed that I've done trades with. Actually, here I'll even make it easy for you!

Doug Sterner-bought a pair of shoes from him
KMAN300-bought 2 used balls from him
Smash9-helped me with buying a ball, and paid him

go ahead, send them a PM, see what responses you get.

Cool, maybe you guys could create a post called, "I'm under 19 and I'm a great trader, here are my references".

Then I'll go there and see your name and maybe we'll trade and I'll talk about it in the wanted for sale forum.

I'm anxious for you guys to prove me wrong.

OK< I want a detour(oh not enough carry 2003 screwed me on that one he's under 19), I want a Shock, I want a Triple X.  AND I want to do all these with less than 3 emails between us before deal is done and ball on my door within 5 business days of when we first start talking.  Sort of like awesome Allstarbowling JOE!!  Over 19!

See my post in wanted for sale, "Help me I'm sick".

Hey, Lucky... I must of missed it but how did they rip you off? Did you check references? Did you make them ship first? If you did those 2 then its almost impossible to get screwed...

Just my 2 cents..

Kyle
