The ball features a brand new, revolutionary reactive shell. The new shell, called Holo-Flex, contains a new-engineered additive. This new, synthetic additive has a high aspect ratio, which means that it is much longer in one direction than another. This allows the soft, sparkly additive to extend above the ball surface giving it a unique texture. The new reactive shell exaggerates the normal reactive ball motion. Holo-Flex gets down the lane even better than reactive and then flips harder at the break point with a medium-high differential (2.526) and medium-low Rg (0.048). The ball has a hook rating of 18.

Columbians,

Just another quick review on this ball.

Pin out only 1 1/2 inches.  High top weight out of the box
Near 4 ounces.  Drilling puts pin 4 1/2 inches X CG to pap 4 1/2
inches.  Balance hole placed inside my PAP at only 4 inches from grip center to reduce top weight.(This is significant)

This ball is so smooth and so strong I can't believe it.  Though this ball is suppossed to be skid snap and the Cuda C/2000 arch, this ball because of weight hole location is very strong and archy.  A definitive but readable move to the hole carries on all fresh.  This ball is the missing link in my arsenal.
It reminds me of my awesome Crimson red Sledgehammer that was drilled control.
However the lightload particle coverstock is more controllable as far as breakpoint length.

Last night even though the drill holes do not fit me like a glove yet.  Drilled for another bowler I threw a game that had 10 strikes, one undeserved 7 pin and one 7 count.  This was with a couple of muffed releases.

I've replaced a bunch of my other control balls with this gem!  This may be the best medium to medium heavy condition coverstock I have ever used.
In its current condition on the left I think it may be one of the best balls ever.  On the right a light polish may be just the ticket and a weight hole in a more traditional spot will allow this ball to work from the inside better than where I intend to use it -- 10 to 15 at the feathers.

i got a cuda 2000 from a friend of mine who got it from a regional pro. i'm not sure on the drill pattern but the pin is about 3/4 in. under my ring finger and the cg is on the inside of my palm. this is probably the best ball that i have ever owned by far. it almost does the same as my x-calibur, except it hooks about 3-4 feet earlier and has a continuos motion throughout the backend. i have shot 5 279's with this ball in just under 4 months. this is the most versatile ball i have now because it allows me to play my normal line, then when the lanes start to show carrydown, i can move right, then when they dry out i can move left and it won't give me any over/under reactions. i really hope columbia stay with the super-flex cover and holo-flex core. it makes a great cover core combonation for the lane. a solid 9.5

HOUSE CONDITION

2-3 INCH PIN

Ball is drilled with the pin at 12 o'clock directly above my fingers.  No weight hole.  I purely hate this ball!  I've tried tweaking the surface, playing with finger and thumb weight.  Nothing works!  PLEASE, SOMEONE HELP WITH SOME SUGGESTIONS ON HOW I SHOULD GO ABOUT REDRILLING THIS BALL, OTHERWISE I'M AFRAID THIS ONE'S GOING IN THE TRASH!!!

By far the worst ball ever made by Columbia!

i orginally had this ball drilled with a 3/8 x3/8 drilling,2-3 pin out but changed it to pin under my finger and cg tucked in aswell.what i found with this set up is the ball is great for the sport lane condition.i was going to buy a ball with very little flare,but this ball has worked extremely well on the sport condition.it gets through the oil well,but when hitting the dry holds the line .if you are starting to play on the sports condition,this ball and set up should be considered.

I had some good games with this ball.  Overall very nice hook rate, very smooth hook.  I normally like to throw the ball striaght up and I could do that with this ball,  but if I needed to swing the ball there were no problems.  By now this ball should be fairly cheap so if you see it at a low price its worth a try.

I found this ball on the internet for real cheap, and decided what the heck. My Cuda is 15#, pin out 1.5 inches, 3.25 oz. top weight.  I always liked Columbia' Holoflex coverstock, and this is the one that started it all.  I punched it up 4 x 4, with the pin under the ring finger, and the cg stacked straight down.  

Heck of a ball.  Give it some backends, and it just tears thru racks.  On a house shot where I normally shoot (wood), the oil is about 32 feet buffed to 38 with a good bumper outside 7, and clean backends.  Sliding on 20, I could pitch over 12 out to 4, and just CRUSH racks.  It also performs well in the swish zone, scattering pins all over the deck.  First time out I shot 247-237-222-224= 930 with it in Wedneday scratch league. If it weren't for a few 10s and even more 9s, 1000 wasn't out of the question.

Also got a chance to use it in tournament play in a Junior Regional tournament in Council Bluffs Iowa.  Another wood house, could shoot almost the same line, but moved farther outside and threw a bit harder to gain some entry angle (this house is notorious for leaving corers).  Sliding on 17, over 15 out to 5, and pasted the rack for 3 games.  Knocked out 241-243-256=740 in doubles, just wish I'd have gotten it out earlier.  I'll definitely save that one for JOG nationals.

It may be a bit old, but its another great one from Columbia.  I give it a solid 9 of 10.  Loses that point cuz it will not hook thru oil.

My cuda is an awesome ball at my house (synthetic)the shot is heavy on the left side and thats what i am a left handed cranker the ball will snap back on any ball. I just started 2 years ago and already I have gotten a 837 series. As soon as i got this ball i knew my game would go up
