I picked this ball up because I needed a ball that would hook in a house that typically has long and wet lanes. All my other equipment works well on the other house where I bowl (wood and much drier) but goes straight at the synthetic/wet house.

I absolutely love this ball. I think I've said that about 50 times. The ball is controllable, consistent, and crushing.

It's drilled with the pin right next to my ring finger, the CG is about 2 1/2 down and out with a weight hole outside of that.

I've only had about 9 games on it, and I'm hoping that it will continue as it does.

Overall i have to give this ball a thumbs down. When i first got the ball it hooked a ton which is what i was looking for. I shot a 300 and several good 700's with it. I took good care of the ball as far as the cleaning of the ball and storing it in room temperature. The ball after about 100 games is completely dead. So I decided to sand the ball and see if that will work. It didn't. Next i tried putting it on a haus resurfacing machine. That worked for about 3 games then it was back to not moving again. I tried to restore the ball back to its origional cover but still absolutely no hook. The last thing i have tried with it was to bake it even though i personally hate this option. And you guessed it, no hook once again. The ball worked great when i first got it but unless you want to buy a new ball every 100 games i would not suggest it

I went looking for a ball that would hook a lot on heavier oil patterns. I purchased the throttle about 8 months ago and was very happy at first. After using the ball for a couple of months it started to die out and there was very little hook. I throw at 17-18mph and have med revs on the ball. I sanded the ball and it cam alive again for maybe 9 games at the most and was looking good again. After the 9 games it died out again and i tried sanded it again. Didn't help a bit. I then tried soaking the ball in hot water and found that it soaked up a lot of oil. Ball reacted a little after soaking but after a couple of games it was once again dead. Very unhappy with the ball and wish that i picked a different ball instead of this one. I would strongly advise not getting this ball for hook unless you plan on using it only for a couple of 3 game sets.

weight:15
finish: don't know bought it used

This is a ball I had to be real careful with.
For me this is not a reall hooking ball, it is more of a skid/flip ball.
I controlled this ball by speed. The slower the earler the break point, and visa versa.

I would not reccommend this ball.

I use Black Magic Powerhouse to clean it and some #000 steel wool to renew it.
It still seems to hook well in the backend. I've had this ball well over a
year. I start out five boards from the right in the oil and move over left
quite a bit in the dry or I go to my straight ball.
