The Pearl version gives me the same consistent motion as the Power Torq with a noticeably stronger backend motion. This combination makes for a terrific downlane shape that will be the envy of all your bowling friends.

My first impression of the symmetrical Pearl is that it's very clean through the fronts (a Columbia 300 trademark). I was extremely excited to see the change of direction at the breakpoint as it does not slow down or bounce off the back of the pattern. Overall a very strong and predictable ball motion.

Columbia 300 Power Torq Pearl: Great benchmark addition!

I drilled the Columbia 300 Power Torq Pearl 45 x 4.5" x 65 to be that smooth rolling pearl that I can use as a benchmark off of solids like the GB4. It fits this spot in my bag perfectly. I love this ball on the Mark Roth sport oil pattern, and the 41 ft. house shot pattern at a different center, both on HPL lane surface. It clears the fronts easier than the Power Torq Solid, but still rolls heavy and firm through the pins, without being as sensitive as the higher rg, lower diff. pearl balls can be. This is the perfect marriage of power and performance. Grab one today, you will be glad you did!

The Power Torq Pearl is an AWESOME compliment to the very successful and user friendly Power Torq.  The Power Torq Pearl is longer and stronger then the Power Torq Solid.  This symmetrical pearl is a must have.  Enjoy the High Performance in the upper to mid price range!!!!
