This ball is stronger in the backend than any High Performance ball in our history and will provide bowlers a complementary product to our Full Swing and Bedlam series balls. It’s performance is as pure as anything you have ever encountered.

I was lucky enough to be able to not only drill a Pure Swing for myself but to also host a Demo Days seminar at our Pro Shop featuring the Pure Swing. Out of the 8 different bowling balls featured at the Ebonite International Demo Days, the Pure Swing was in the top 2 favorites of at least 70-80% of our customers. For a pearlized ball, the Pure Swing gives you just enough length to allow the weightblock to take over and give you a strong and continous backend reaction. Unlike some of the other pearlized balls on the market, the Pure Swing is strong enough that a majority of bowlers will be able to use the ball on fresh oily and medium-oily house conditions, and the core/coverstock combination is versatile enough that it opens up a variety of different entry angles and lines that make it a must have for sport and PBA patterns of all lengths. I have tried 2 different layouts with my Pure Swing, and have had the greatest success with my latest Pure Swing, drilled 40/30/4.5" Pin-to-PAP. For me, being a high speed, high rev player with a lower track I have had the best success on medium-oily conditions, but a majority of the public should see much more versatile reactions on heavier patterns. I can honestly say that we currently have a 6 or 7 customer waiting list on the Pure Swing which is due to be released January 7. Watch the videos, read the forums, and look at the success of the Columbia PBA Staff members, Columbia is for real and is becoming much more common at tournaments and on league racks. Join the movement, if you need some length and want some strength on your medium-heavy patterns, give the Pure Swing a try. Great looking and a great reaction to match.

The new Pure Swing by Columbia 300 is another great piece of equipment and will be a great asset to anyone's arsenal.  For me the Pure Swing is about 4 boards straighter through the front of the lane than the Full Swing, but still allows the ball to read the midlane and continue through the pin deck.  The versatility this ball gives you for having a pearl coverstock is remarkable and makes it a great match up for Sport patterns and your typical house shots.  In my first 3 game set with it I started with a Full Swing for the first 2 games and switched into the Pure Swing for game 3 (as I was starting to lose the fronts) and finished up with an 802 series(279-258-265).  The ball was very easy to read and had that added length I was looking for to get the ball down the lane.  I'd recommend the Pure Swing to anyone as it's a great addition to the Columbia 300 line.

Threw the Pure Swing on a dried out US Open shot on Saturday. Ball is drilled  55 X 4 1/2 X 40. The ball had awesome length playing left of 5th arrow with great recovery on backend. Great compliment to my Full Swing wich I used all day. Started with it on league pattern lastnight, first 4 frames 3 spares and an open. Moved a fuzz right and sheet. Ended up with 770. The ball is AMAZING! AS advertised it cuts through the oil and still hits strong and doesn't rubberband off the dry! No dooubt in my mind Columbia is making the best balls out there right now!

I drilled my Pure swing with the pin 4.75x55x30 with no weight hole. This is one really good rolling bowling ball. Its very clean through the fronts and really comes of the spot once it hits friction and very continous on the backend. The thing that i really like is with the sanding process that columbia is using the ball doesn't blow by the spot. Its very versatile, you can play pretty square or move in and go around it.I compared to my full swing which is 4000 abralon and magic shine. Its reads the midlane a little sooner and is much stronger off the backend.Chad you got a winner here.

Chad Murphy and the Columbia 300 team - WOW!!!

What a great ball this is.  Drilled mine 6" pin(above middle finger) and MB just a pinch to the right of thumb.  Don't let the "pearl" scare you away from this ball.  Easy through the front part of the lanes but the reaction off "the spot" as they say is right on the money.  I love the continuation through the pins after it gets to the spot.  Just like all the other Columbia balls, it keeps the pin flying low.  I was able to throw this on the Scorpion pattern in our Experience league and I had guys crawling all over me to find out what ball I was throwing.  It really gives you an awesome read on many, many patterns.  The new surfaces on these balls are really the break through to go along with the great new weight block from the Full Swing in this ball.  What a great combination this is.  You have got to try the Pure Swing, you won't be disappointed!!

The Pure Swing is the answer to moderate to good length and strong backend.
Being a Columbia Staffer I drilled the first ball for max flare and the
second one for max length and backend. Max hook ball really hits the
breakpoint hard and continues thru the pins even playing deep inside. The breakpoint is very readable and predictable. The one drilled with length and backend is just that good length with a sharp backend. Columbia has needed a premium pearl and the Pure Swing fits that to a tee. I used both Pure Swings with the box finish.

The pin is 4 1/2 from my axis and the MB is 1 inch left of thumb. I used this layout to stabilize the core, I know it was gonna start early so I wanted to create a little more length. It did exactly that. I was able to play the track area where everything else got too strong or rolled out. This ball stood up in the backend right where I wanted it. I am excited to use this on some longer patterns to see what it can really do.

I now have Three of these Pure Swings, the first two thanks to two Ebonite Reps. I purchased the third one yesterday to complement the other two. Ball #1 has the Pin High 5" from PAP and MB 5" from PAP @ 75 degrees, small XH on my PAP. This ball gets down the lane nicely and has a good move off of the spot but not overly angular. Used this one on the PBA Cheetah in Norwich at the TQR and it helped me advance to the main field. I had ball #2 comped by Del Ballard, he drilled me one with the pin down, 5" from PAP and Mass Bias 3½, @ 60 degrees. a 7/8 XH was used, 4¼ from center of grip, inside my VAL and 2½" deep. Ball is awesome. This was given to me also for the Cheetah Pattern, as my pin carry wasn't the greatest in the TQR. This ball gave less skid-flip, and smoothed out the backends and also gave me ALOT of area and GREAT pin carry - the "Nut" reaction and helped me to win my match in the Round of 64 vs. W.R. Williams. I added ball #3, to compliment Ball #2, Pin 5½ from PAP, Under and MB @ 75 degrees. Earlier than ball #1 but smoother as well, but more angular than ball #2. Must have in the bag, this ball will cover all lane conditions from medium-dry to medium-heavy with right layouts/surface preps. All balls I have are OOB currently. Go pick one up ASAP!

I was only able to get one game in with the pure swing before the league arrived today. The lanes were freshly oiled, THS has been a little on the wet side lately. I'm a power player, I was standing on fifteen playing over five and my ball speed was around 16 mph I bowled a 257. I am very impressed with the pure swing and it is definitely the ball I have chosen to be a step below my mission. To give some insight my mission was drilled tamed. My Pure Swing from the mass bias drilling instruction sheet was drilled for an all purpose layout for a medium track.  My ball has 1oz side and thumb weight. For the record I am currently carrying a 206 avg,and I hope this is an insightful review.

I had this ball for about a month, throwing a game here and there with it, just to get the feel of what the ball does. I have it drilled to skid and flip. Pin just outside ring finger, cg kicked out and a balance hole off to the right in the center. Used it for the first time for all three games and it read the lanes very well and shot a 753 (oob finish). The pins stay low and horizonal and the carry is real good. I am a Tweener to Cranker. The ball makes a nice predictable move to the pocket. It goes alittle longer than my Momentum. I would recommend this ball to anyone.

I got this gem just after the fall/winter season ended. I had thrown one during an Ebonite Demo and it really was impressive and I knew it would be just a matter of time before I got one.

The lanes - THS. Oiled to about 41 feet fairly heavy volume of oil as is evident when the ball comes back. The heads are synthetic and the backs are wood. High average in the house was 235 this year.

The drilling - pin under bridge, cg off the palm and the mb in a very strong position. No weight hole needed. I believe it is 4 1/2 X 4 drilling. I have medium to high speed and not a ton of revs so I wanted pin under so the ball would not be skid/flip.

The reaction - being a pearl it is very clean through the heads even as they dry up. It picks up a roll and makes a very smooth transition. For me the reaction is a hard arc which is what I wanted. The key is there is absolutely no quit to the ball. Once it makes its move the continuation is amazing. Right through the deck without hesitation. I am amazed at the flare on the ball.

The carry - in a word - phenomenal. I have used it for two weeks in the spring league I am in. I have left a couple of solid ten pins, but I really have seen this ball carry every imaginable hit. High, light, and flush it really does not matter. The great feeling is when you throw a ball and have the confidence that it is going to carry. It really puts a lot of fun in the game.

This ball is the real deal. It is not a hook monster, but I have been able to use it right from the start in league. I just go a little straighter up the boards at the start then move left as the lanes change. Columbia really hit it out the park with this release. I now have the Total Bedlam for heavier shots and this one fits the bill for lighter volumes.

I was told by a friend of mine that I should purchase this ball. I normally buy the Hammer line products. I have been bowling with my friend for a lot of years and I can tell if he being serious. I took his word and went into the pro shop and bought me a pure swing. I had it drilled to go long and smooth with a good back end snap. Well, I had to bowl in league on the same evening that I picked up my ball. I only had one practice game with this ball which resulted in a 247 game. I bowled a 299 my second game. Here were my score bowling with the Pure Swing for the very first time. 192, 299, 244 = 735 Series.  You just don't pick up a ball and bowl with it the same night and expect to get these kind of scores. I must say this ball is absolutely amazing. I have fell in love with the ball. I Have a lot of respect for Storm, Hammer, and Roto-Grip but this time Columbia really did its job. This ball is a must! The Pure Swing is an A+ in my book.

Bowler Specs:
Pin 4 1/2" from PAP
Mass Bias near track
~475 revs at 17.5 mph

This ball gets down the lane very smooth and has a sharp continuous backend. Works well on medium-heavy oil sport shots and excellent on house shots. It has excellent length and hits harder than any ball I've ever owned, pins fly everywhere! 10/10 Columbia300! Keep the great balls comin!
