Specs:
15lbs 3oz
3oz top
4 inch Pin

Layout:
5 x 5 with the pin over the fingers

I was looking for a benchmark ball and this ball comes very close. It's a little stronger than I expected. The Hyde rolls early with a arching backend. When there is carry down this ball rolls in the front part of the lane and sets up perfect on the back. On a fresh shot with a clean backend this ball can open up the lane pretty well without having a snappy reaction.

I have used this on a wood and synthetic house with a normal THS with a OB 5 and out. For a mid price ball i am surprised this ball wasn't really popular. It was like the Detour which acted like a high performance ball but no one really believed. These two compliment each other very well. If you haven't tried one i would highly recommend both of them.

I think everyone should have one of these in their tournament arsenal.

This Ball Is Great On Mid-Lane Oil Conditions... I Have A Very Low Rev Shot But Can Still Get Backend Out Of This Ball On Med-Med/High Conditions! Great Ball For The Price And I Strongly Recommend It For Anyone!

The Hyde hooks strong every time. Carry Down isn´t a problem at all, for this ball. With it´s dull box finish and my layout, the ball is great for super heavy oil. I gave the ball a medium gloss polish, so I can use it almost every time. And I do. The ball hits hard and carries well, even when I miss the pocket.

I would buy another hyde with a different layout, but the hyde isn´t available anymore. I only found 16 lbs.

This ball hits hard, hooks great (´n looks great too) and is easy to control. unbelievable !
