This is the second part of my review, and all i can say is, Wow!!!! Have u ever seen a ball go straight? I have, but it hooks a ton when it hits the dry. one of the first games i threw with it was a 279! if you are looking for that consistent hook on dry lanes, the predictability, and a hard pocket hit with a urethane, do not hesitate to buy this ball!!! i love mine, its the hardest hitting ball i have!!!(i know, its sad, really...)But like i said, its very consistent hooks when it hits dry and smashes the pocket like those lane #1 balls(which i have thrown also). well, thats all from me. good luck to all of you out there that own this ball, or are thinking of getting a dry lane ball.

Layout: 5 1/2" pin-pap, above ring finger, factor finish, CG near grip center.
My Specs: Low track, about 300 rpm, 15-17 mph, around 30 degrees rotation, tilt unsure of.

Well, I have to say, for a urethane ball with a three piece core, I cant hear the difference in hit between my other balls. This is easily my favorite ball when I need absolute control. Nothing uncontrollable about it. Very smooth midlane on drier lanes and a nice continuous arc on the backend. This thing sends messengers like the best of them so I can't really complain.

In league, we've been bowling on a light oil reverse block (not intentionally laid down, but there nonetheless) and this ball gives me a pretty good look on it. It gets down the lane very well but will turn too early if proper adjustments aren't taken and offers a nice controlled reaction on tighter conditions. Flying backends? No problem with the Trooper, turns the snap into an nice arc. Overall, the 120.00 bucks I paid was well spent. It has gotten me out of many a difficult situation. If anyone is looking for a cheap, hard hitting, and I can personally vouch on this, check out the Trooper by Columbia. This is actually turning out to by one of my favorite balls. Doesn't help that our house is having trouble with oiling the lanes
