Action Max renewed
« on: December 07, 2007, 02:06:24 AM »
I've been struggling along this season with my average hovering at the 200 mark, using mostly the Max and the Packed, both OOB.  I've had some decent scores and won some pots, but definately not satisfied.  Well, on Tuesday night I gave the Max a hot water bath to extract the oil.  I dried it off and wiped it down with alcohol.  Used it Wednesday night on a THS.  I made some errors in game 1 for 209.  Then busted loose for a 278 and 277.  The Max came back to life.  The continuation through the pins was unbelievable!  I carried shots that I know I wouldn't have carried a week ago.
Last night I gave the Packed a bath and can't wait to get to the lanes tonight for league play.
If any of you feel that your Action Max has lost it's hitting power, give it a bath and it will thank you for it on the lanes.

I'm gonna do that will my Max. It's been a great ball and still has plenty of games left in it. The cover is mint. It's been losing a little bid on the back end lately.

Last week I told of how the Action Max responded to a hot water bath.  Well, as I said, I gave the Packed a bath also.  I then cleaned it and polished it by hand with Lane masters polish.

At the Lanes I used my Masterpiece for game 1 then switched to the Packed.  After chopping the 6 off the 10, I threw the next 8 for 257.  I went south in game 3 because of a leg problem, but the Packed really responded to the hot water bath.  The 257 was worth an $85 pot.

Tonight I pick up the Action Attack at the pro shop.  I got it from my son and had it plugged and re-drilled.  I got all of my Actions from my son as he re-built his arsenal.  I hope the Attack is as good as the other two.

I've been reading with much interest the threads on the Resurgence, Rival and Momentum.  And I'd love to have them all.  But if the Action Max, Packed and Attack keep treating me right, I'll have to wait on the new stuff.

Barnes looked good early on with the Momentum and the Rival.  But my son has his eye on the Insane after watching Sunday nights show.

The Action Max is a great ball...I believe a best of breed!  That guy also loves a bath!

The Action Packed on the other hand likes to be left a touch dirty!

Yep still have 3 action max's, 1 action, 2 attacks, 1 packed i am surprised they did not save there behinds with these series. Every ball does something different oh and the big shot is also awesome never sold any of the series, except a 16 lb packed i got cheap. The br member i sold the 16 lb too shot 300/800 with it within 3 weeks of getting the packed.
