I've never tried a pin in palm drill because I figured that you need head oil and lots of it in order for this drill to work unless you have no hand at all, right ?? How would this drill differ from an pin axis drill in terms of getting through the front.
What I see in Tucson is dry, dry and more dry. So I'm usually piping it straight and hard to control the backends or wheelin' and dealin', depending on where the traffic is on the lanes that day. Layouts are usually long pins in order to get it throught the front consistently. If I ever saw true heavy oil, I would consider a drill like this, but it hasn't happenend yet.
My PAP is somewhere in the 5.5" over range.
